★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff at the holiday inn express are exceptional with a genuine interest to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Staff meet and exceed a level of professionalism and exceed standards that other hotels need to follow. This high level of standards makes it an easy choice to pick the holiday inn express as my preferred choice when overnighting in FSJ.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ - Initial front desk customer service from Owen was second to none.
- For the most part COVID-19 protocols were in place.
- Clean, modern and spacious room but found lots of crumbs/candy wrappers under/around bed and night stand area.
- Nice to have a functioning pool and fitness center with working TV's!!
- A little pricey but in line with all chain hotels of similar status in Fort St. John right now

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My stay was quite comfortable. The room was clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable. The shower spray was strange-like a heavy garden hose rather than a fine spray, but it did the job. I had an injury while using the pool slide and it was handled very well and exceeded my expectations for making sure it won't happen again.
The breakfast could offer more healthy options, such as more fresh fruit and hard boiled eggs that could be taken along. I skipped the breakfasts mostly because everything was very sweet, sugary cereal and oatmeal options.
There was no laundry detergent available for the on-site self serve machines. Seems like it could be kept at the desk or in a vending machine for guests to purchase.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst customer service I've ever experienced! Very rude night clerk. Disrespected and threatened while attempting to check into pre booked room. Do not recommend. Delayed over an hour after driving over 1200 kms! Bad end to a long day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While in town I had to scramble to find a room since my office didn't do any of that for us.
After staying at a competitors the night prior we wanted somewhere with a hot tub and clean rooms.
So I spent the extra cash to get some good R and R.
The staff was more then accommodating and very friendly. Got us a room right away so we could rest up for the night.
Everything was clean and tidy and worth the extra money.
I'd recommend this hotel to stay if in the neighborhood for business or pleasure.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel is good. It's got decent facilities such as gyms and pools. The beds and rooms are great! Had a wonderful rest during my time there. The bed was just right, not too firm, not too soft and the pillows are very soft. The best part for me was the breakfast, it's got a decent selection and on weekdays its open from 5:30AM-10AM. Overall 4/5
