As an international student, it was very important for me to find a supportive community and I am having the best time here. There are a lot of events that give residents a chance to interact with each other. The RAs are always here to help. I would say, don’t second guess it, just move here :)

The HOEM staff work hard to create a safe welcoming environment for us students, especially through the various events they put on throughout the year. I would recommend to everyone to live in hoem as I made my best friends there.
R	Rebant Palit on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ HOEM was the perfect place for me to stay while I attended Ryerson University. I stayed there for 2 years and never had any complaints. The staff is amazing and they have amazing events all year long that keeps students engaged socially and academically. It allowed me to meet some great friends while still focusing on my academics effortlessly. HOEM is a great place for students, no matter what year of studies they are in. HOEM's amenities such as the gym and abundance of study spaces really helps you feel at home (pun intended). The apartment styles are also a big plus as it makes it feel more accommodating than regular student residences, and they also include all kitchen supplies! I would recommend any student who wants to enjoy a great university experience to stay at HOEM, especially if you are attending Ryerson which is only a 2 min walk away.

From the amenities, to the prime location, and the diversity, I would definitely recommend living in HOEM.

Although the second year was during the middle of the pandemic, I was never bored as the team at HOEM offered numerous safe yet super enjoyable activities and crafts to keep us busy. I made my most best friends in those 2 years and I owe that all to hoem:)

I am staying in a 2 bedroom suite that is definitely larger than most dorm rooms I’ve seen. I enjoy the community and appreciate the fact that the suite was both furnished and came with cooking utensils. The kitchen and living room area are both very spacious which is great cause there’s lots of room for guests too. I plan to stay here over the next 3 years of UNI!
