★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Took my family here, small group on a Sunday. Lots of historically interesting stories and tidbits. You have to see for yourself. Eerie at times. If you love local stories about taking someone to court by being slapped by a fish, or the Finnians escaping jail...to criminals hanged for a variety of gruesome crimes- this was interesting in a human-interest way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fascinating little piece of history! Hard to believe the jail ran from the 19th century right up to 2002! The young tour guide (with a background in history) was very energetic and engaging. Definitely worth a visit!
