Easy hike in…to a spectacular view! We parked by the school ($30 to park for the day) and took the short walk to the trail head. Lots of signage and maps to help with navigation. We packed a picnic and because of the full day of parking pass, left our cooler of food in our car and headed to the beach (short walk away). Little cafes in town are also close by, or grabbing snacks at the local grocery store are also a great options. Highly recommend the hike and views.

Absolutely amazing trail! Please be aware that there isn’t a lot of information at the trailhead regarding terrain. This is a trail literally through wooded rocky terrain. Absolutely beautiful and worth it. But if you are not prepared, it will be challenging. For winter, the rocks are icy and slick. Crampons are ideal or good treaded boots. Layers and gloves, hats a must. The trail is well marked with tree markers, there is one middle section with a fallen tree marker so be alert, it is very easy to go off trail at that spot. The good news is that you are not far from houses if you do go off trail. But as it is in the woods, there is wild life not very happy to see you. So be alert. We did the hike with a 11 and 14 year old no problem. Elderly, take caution on the very uneven terrain. Once you reach the lookout it will all be worth it: but be careful, it is literally an edge of a cliff. Rain and ice makes it challenging. So glad we ventured out, worth the hike for sure!

The view of georgian bay from the cliffs are absolutely breathtaking. First lookout point is a 3+ km(one way) rocky trails through the woods and trees are marked in white and blue to keep you on track for the main or side trail. If you want to finish whole 17 km loop, go prepared. Keep in mind that parking at McCurdy (starting point) is very limited so if you don't get a spot, park in the town.

Jan 2022 - some of the best views in the Tobermory area can be found here. Came here in the winter season, so it was not necessary to reserve/pay for parking which was a huge plus. There was barely anyone on the trail. Starting the trail from McCurdy Drive, took about a solid hour in the snow to get to the various lookout points - hard to miss them. The Side Trail was closed off, so you take the Bruce Trail to the Lion's Head Lookout - you also pass by Giant's Cauldron and Pothole. It's about 4.2km one way.

What an amazing park! The views were stunning! Didn't expect the water to be so clear and clean. The trails were well marked and visible. Maps at the main trail junctions help you make the next decision

Amazing hike! Lots to see and photograph. I really recommend this hike. Early spring is a great time if you're looking to avoid crowds and capture sone amazing photos without people in your way. On a sunny day the water looks amazing.
