The hotel is in a total state of disrepair. One elevator not working. There are long lineups for the one working elevator as long as 20 minutes. Ice machines not working. Furniture old, scratched up with knobs missing. Lights not working. Curtains ripped and stuck to windows. Rooms are too hot we could not control the temperature. No hot water for 90 minutes. We had to move from one room to another and then to another in the middle of the night after a long day of travel and checking in late. The rooms should not have been rented out.

To all the comment here, I would like to state that I live in Prince Rupert and was very happy to hear a couple of months ago that a Prince Rupert couple bought the Highliner Inn. As a business owner, not making excuses, the pandemic was extremely difficult for everyone and living in Prince Rupert, I know how difficult it is to get anything up here. So, maybe before you crucify a business as my business has been too, give every business a chance.

Positive: Fresh newly renovated room, spacious with great new fixtures Negative: Like sleeping in a cavern, needs more furniture and how about some local art?

I paid 119 dollars for a room that had poor wifi, no heat and dirty stained with a brown spot on the sheets. The over night agent did not accommodate after I told him about the issues he only offered a portable heater 3 hour before I was checking out, this hotel offers no apology, does not take accountability for the mishap. I and my crew travel to kitimat for work and we stay over night at prince rupert but we will not be staying at the highliner again. Not worth the money better off staying at a cheap motel atleast a motel will have heat and wifi. What a shame!

So far I have great experience, the room has almost all the amenities, as well as a nice breakfast downstairs in the morning, The Wi-Fi doesn’t work very well but never mind, the beds are nice and comfortable, as well the staff at the front desk are nice and friendly. Probably I will stay here again…

Not sure how anyone can give these guys 4 even 3 star reviews. I stayed here 2 years ago and they had 1 working elevator for more then 12 floors and still only one working. I've heard from other patrons that sometimes they have non. The worse internet in any hotel I've stayed at. And I stay at a lot. From coast to central Canada. I compare all the bad internet hotels to this hotel. You'd think with a hotel that has so many floors they'd have a pretty good water heater system. Nope cold showers are great aren't they. Seriously though if you can stay anywhere else, do it. Don't stay here. Anywhere has to be better then here

Hotel room was clean, beds not overly uncomfortable and all staff were friendly. Hotel is under construction, one elevator to service the entire hotel - more than once we had to wait for the elevator to come back as it was already full. Our room was way too hot, no air conditioning. We were there over a week and left our patio door open the entire time to try to cool the room down, unfortunately, had to close it often as people next door were smoking (cigarettes and marijuana). Very noisy with people partying down the hall and with everything going on outside. Our key card stopped working 4 times during our stay, very inconvenient, especially when you go to the front desk and they have a sign up that they are away for 15 min. Wish we would have known that there was vending machines, didn't find out till the day we left that they were in the basement - no signs to state this. Some nights, parking was also a nightmare most nights as people parked in the lot across the street, but instead of leaving enough room for others to get by, they blocked the "entrance" so had to park way up the street.

One word , dump. My stay was for business and as part of my normal trip preparations I studied up on my accommodations. Online photos showed clean and renovated rooms. After a brief discussion with the front desk I quickly found out I drew the short end of the stick and would be staying in the non renovated portion of the hotel. I was greeted with stains on every surface imaginable other than that of the bed. luckily, as I found out these were all replaced. I hope the individuals staying in the renovated side have a much more enjoyable experience than I do. I can't imagine they will though. It seems the cleaning staff grazed over the remnants of the previous occupant, potentially some champagne popping and in only a few seconds they managed to hit the mirror, wall and tv in one swoop. The booger along the wall next to my head will be a nice thought as I drift away into sleep. The front desk staff were very friendly.
