★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was so skeptical before booking my stay as I planned to stay for an entire week during which I had to work 9-6 on weekdays. But everything about my stay and the facilities was amazing. The staff here do a phenomenal job - be it at the front desk, the kitchen or the general housekeeping. There are great common areas to hang out and get work done. The beds are comfortable. You get amazing complimentary pancakes for breakfast. Any questions about the bus schedules, trails, bear sprays - the front desk is your go-to place. Thanks everyone at the Alpine Center for a fabulous stay and keep up the great work!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Too loud for people who needs to rest.on our 1st night .People in the hallway are running like a bull and so as upstairs ,yelling to each other as if they are on the field..we ask the front desk about their noise policy the guys said 10:30 is quite time.. but @11:30pm people upstairs are running and yeling .. i understand this is a cheap hotel but we come here to rest and sleep management should understand the their guests needs some rest..atleast they need to remind their noisy guests to be respectful with the other guests.but they only say sorry and dont do anything..will not recommend this hotel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had the best time at this hostel and continue to go back. The rooms are clean, kitchen was much bigger than usual hostels with a walk in fridge and everything you need to make your meals.
The location is perfect as you are a short walk up from Banff Av which means you have the best views and the wildlife love to roam around on the grounds, which was my highlight.
The staff are super helpful and friendly, If there is anything Jimmy on front desk doesn’t know… it’s not worth knowing.
The hostel also make it easy to meet other travellers by organising themed nights in the bar (pool comp/ karaoke) or social events outside (hike up tunnel) to help you meet all the other awesome travellers. It’s the only place I’ll stay in Banff ?

Super friendly staff and very well organised.
Many activities are offered to hike around the hostel or to meet other people in the bar in the evening.
I have been there in summer and winter and it has always been a great place to stay.

Washrooms and showers are a bit dated, but work fine. Beds are soft. There are lockers in each room.

The view from the lobby & the room is stunning. There are a few nice short walks starting right where the hostel is, so you can get pretty amazing views within an hour walk ;
Super friendly staff, always happy to help whenever I needed anything, and front desk also has great recommendations & tips about local life, and what to do in the area ;
Kitchen & bathroom were some of the cleanest I've seen in hostels.
What I enjoyed most was the bar in the cellar, with events every few days, which made it really easy to meet people and have a great time!
Would 100% recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very clean and nice environment. The staff were friendly and helpful. We lost a few things and they helped us find it. Nice beds with storage, outlets and lights (although the lights weren't very bright). Nice and beautiful common areas. The kitchen was also very well equipped.
The free breakfast was the only slightly disappointing part. It was a very tasty pancake but the first day it was too little and the second day too much! It would have been great to have more options.
