Having very bad experience with hertz car rental , I booked Car for 2 days and planned trip was canceled just because of not getting car even though I paid in advance before 2 days online and still i did not get any notifications and call .. screw up all.

This hertz location saved our vacation. We had originally booked with Budget and even though we had prepaid the reservation, they refused to let us get the car. We then went to enterprise and the same result occurred. Although we do not live in Waterloo we made the trip to this location because the gentleman on the phone was able to help us. He helped us with a same day reservation and had competitive pricing. We are very thankful for the great customer service at this Hertz! Thank you!

I had a good experience renting from here the first time. The car was cleaned properly and they were kind enough to let me take it 30min before the store opened formally. The only minor gripe is that the car had winter tires in June making it a bit noisy. Overall a good experience for UWaterloo students due to special rates and no young driver fees for the next few months. I will be renting from them soon and hope this time the service is similarly great and they have some summer rubber too. Update: The car was good this time too, winter tires again but they told me beforehand. An employee tried hard to sell me the insurance despite me having one on my credit card, but guess they gotta do it to survive the bankruptcy. Got a good deal with university of Waterloo rates

So my car went missing so my insurance company told me to get a rental God only knows why he sent me in this nightmare so I went to hertz in waterloo they gave me a Toyota camery so the min I drove off something was rubbing on the tire nobody did a walk around wit me or nothing should of knew something fishy then so I bring back the car they trying to say I hit when they gave me a hit car now trying to run it thru my insurance we r going to court bout it but just letting everybody know they r scammers at this location and very unprofessional plus the whole time saying on dashboard car need service basically if I was u I would never rent from here they r rip offs

I can’t speak for this particular branch but I can make a great review on the newer Manager of this branch, Arugal. I had an issue with a gas charge when I had rented a vehicle from London to Pearson airport (at the time she was working at the London location). I was told by her that it would take 10-15 business days to show on my card. I waited 20 days and still nothing, so I called the London store back and asked for Arugal. They had informed me that she was transferred to this location so I followed up with her there. She was very professional, friendly and made sure my reimbursement was issued despite not being at the London store anymore. I just received my reimbursement today(which took about 7 weeks) but regardless, I am thankful. Keep up the great work Arugal! This was my first time renting from Hertz and will definitely not be my last!

I use Hertz regularly since last few years from Weber location being a Gold Plus member. Overall I am very satisfied with my experience at this location. Getting to pick a latest car is hit or miss. My last car rental did not have oil change service done and it gave warning message. They should be upkeeping their maintenance. Also this location does not participate in Gold Plus so for all my rentals, I don't get Gold Plus points.

They gave us a damaged car which we had to spend 3 hours to try to fix + they gave us incorrect information to resolve the issue. They sent us on a witch hunt which they couldn’t resolve at the end of the day ?. Don’t recommend hertz to anyone, the reviews are cap. I suggest enterprise instead

This used to be a good branch but not anymore! Dirty and unsafe car, rude and careless employees. The car I rented was not safe. Sometimes, the breaks and steering wheel was not working and I had to stop it using hand break and restart it to make it work. Therefore, we decided not to use the car and use Uber instead, and pay an arm and a leg at the end of the day. They were forcing us to pay extra 20 dollars for winter tires against our will and against our reservation. Employee only agreed after minutes of discussing us in a very rude manner, despite I was as polite as one can be. The car was not washed and they did not offer even a single cent of discount to compensate this (look at the photos). A compact car was booked and a fuel hungry Nissan Qasqai was forced to us for pick up. No other option! As shown in the photos, the fuel gauge was showing that the car is not full, but since employees do not check the cars, they never notice. One other time, another car's handle was not working and they have not noticed the issue. Later on I complained about this to the company. And, it was absolutely no good result. The only thing they offered was a 50 USD coupon that can only be used in the US! And, they never sent this coupon even!
