About Hemingway Medical Spa Inc.
Dr. Olesen has a passion for the skin care and a drive to improve self esteem and confidence in his patients by helping them look and feel their best. Within his chosen specialty of family medicine, Dr. Olesen has taken a keen interest in preventing and treating youth and adult acne. He will never minimize, overlook, or fail to address acne, and he truly appreciates the profound psychological impact it can have on his patients.
Dr. Olesen grew up in Edmonton and took his post-secondary education at the University of Alberta. He achieved his Bachelor of Science (BSc) in 2009, his Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 2013 and then completed his Family Medicine residency in 2015. Since finishing residency, he has devoted himself to becoming extremely skilled and evidence based with aesthetic procedures. He has attended numerous aesthetic medicine learning opportunities, workshops and conferences locally, nationally, and internationally, and has developed his modern injection techniques with frequent hands-on training sessions working with talented and reputable injectors. He is a perfectionist, and truly appreciates and understands the art in medicine when it comes to the field of aesthetics. He continues to pursue continuing medical education with a focus in the field of Aesthetic Medicine. He is a member in good standing with the Canadian Association for Aesthetic Medicine (CAAM), the of the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP), the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA), the Alberta Medical Association (AMA), and the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).

The medical spa is gorgeous, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the Doctor was light handed and made me feel very confident in the whole procedure. He was young and funny and made getting a bunch of tiny needles in my face an actually enjoyable experience! I love that he is a full on Doctor, not an aesthetics nurse- zero problems personally going to one, but I had that extra level of confidence in my treatment due to that. I can't wait to go back and see him for my future fountain of youth endeavors, and I suggest you do the same! Look good, feel good... and if it's hard to frown, you may just choose to smile more!????

Dr. Jamie is attentive, not pushy to sell and absolutely wonderful to work with. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. The work he did for me was VERY well done. After the treatment I saw a visible improvement to my skin, but my skin also felt the most refreshed and rejuvenated it has ever felt! The staff are very kind and understanding. I would definitely come back for another treatment! Thank you so much!
