S	Sue on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don’t how a hidden spot surrounded by a Sherwin-Williams paint store and a MoneyMart has some of the best sushi in this city but it does! I love this place! Yes - you have order by phone and pick it up (not sure if they have delivery) but nothing good in life ever came for free baby! Yummy Yummy!

Nearly impossible to order. 5 star food based on price (not the best sushi in Ottawa but the best value far and away). 2 star service because you can't order online or via email or other electronic means and near impossible to get them to answer the phone. My last order I called at lunch opening. Took literally 25 mins to get through. Order was for same day but dinner and the first available spot was 8pm! How the (insert bad word) is that even possible? I think people put an advanced order in at least 7 days away. I don't understand it. If they get better at taking orders and answering the phone my rating will go higher.
K	Kyle Deslauriers on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hello Sushiman is definitely one of the best sushi places in Ottawa. They use great quality fish, and their rice is also quite nice. What's also convenient is that they have a variety of maki roll selection, ensuring that everyone has something to choose-- even the picky eaters. The reason I can only give 4 out of 5 stars is the service. By this, I don't mean that the staff is rude or anything like that. What I mean is that when it comes to placing an order, it's a luck of the draw whether you get through or not. I've called every 2-5 minutes over the course of an hour from 3 - 4pm and was unable to get through. Eventually I just gave up trying. I mean, for the owners this is a great problem to have-- it shows that there's a lot of demand for their food. But this is something they really need to fix as they will start to lose clientele, as it's quite frustrating to go through this process every time.

That was fine, as there was plenty of shopping plazas nearby to kill some time. We ordered the salmon lunch and the sashimi lunch. The fish was very fresh!

They don't offer online ordering and as a matter of fact, you have to call numerous time and try to connect to a call and that is if they decide to pickup the phone. After trying 10 times, I drove there, placed my order at 16:10 and they told me that it was gonna be ready at 19:30. I got there that evening to realize that there is a lineup but without any clear indication on whether the lineup is to pay or for pickup. Once I managed to pay, the cashier go check my ordering number just so that they could bump me to the next one and she tells me to go wait in my car for 10-15min. Their product is good, but they need to work on their client service.
J	Jiesi Ren on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unacceptable. The fish was rancid and not fresh at all. The salmon especially tasted like it was a week old sitting in the fridge. The rice used for all the pieces of sushi were extremely sweet compared to typical rice vinegar seasoning for sushi. Not sure if this is because we made a late order nearing closing today, but I something had gone terribly wrong with the ingredients today.
