S	Sub-Zero Hunter on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Japanese Hot dog during happy hour was great and a good deal. The fusion Japanese sushi dishes we had were a disappointment. The pressed sushi had a huge amount of pressed rice under a thin slice of fish. The happy hour soup was also a disappointment,not enough flavor in the broth.

I asked multiple times regarding the menu and what it contains or what that type of food it is exactly, the response was "its just lobster" Just FYI, the tables that has a fireplace in the middle is only for group of 6 people or more and there is 2 tables available in that entire restaurant. All other seating is exactly the same as any other restaurants and I believe many of these reviews doesn't really reflect the experience or atmosphere I saw in this restaurant. I asked again regarding another thing and the response was "its just Salmon". I am not gonna mention any names as I did hear other waitress explain the menu to other customers. It seems like not all of them have the proper training or don't care at all about customer service. Thus, this location does NOT deserve anything more than 2 stars for the service. Its like grabbing a burger from McDonald's telling me all the menu its just salmon it its just lobster. Whats the special then? Just lobster? I don't really recommend them and there is many many other better food options in the area.
G	Gon Freecss on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent experience. Happy hour $10 Ramen was worth more than $10. Lot of chicken and delicious broth. Staffs was enthusiastic and nice. The vibe & decor of the restaurant were just perfect!

We chose to dine family style to share everything, I definitely recommend doing the same! Drinks list was awesome, there’s lots of great options! My fav was the watermelon sake slammer, matcha colada and the red rice beer! Everything we ordered was very flavourful and beautiful. Sashimi was outstanding! We got salmon, tuna and the weekend special! Also hands down best dessert I’ve had in a long time! GET THE MATCHA TIRAMISU! Staff were all kind and friendly. If your looking for a wow experience go here, but it will cost you!

He's really picky so this restaurant actually impressed. The ambiance is warm, intimate, and retro. My favorite item was the kabocha squash. I'm not one who loves vegetables like that but this squash was so crispy and perfectly tender. I'm still dreaming about it. The pressed sushi was good too. Also! Get the hamachi and jalapeno hand roll. Just WOW. We loved our server Alex. He was friendly and attentive. This made for a great birthday.

Patrick and Cam behind the bar are magic. Their recommendations were all 10/10. They took the time to explain every dish and drink, and you could tell they really meant the praise they’d give the food. This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had, and I will definitely be making a trip out just to eat that kabocha squash again.

Our server was very knowledgeable and helped us decide what to order. The drinks were also phenomenal! They really take their time to make it perfect and the presentation was great. I cannot wait to come back here and try more off their menu.
n	nomad_paul on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the Best Japanese restaurant in Alberta! Upon entering, you will be welcomed by a gorgeous interior decor and ‘hip-dining’ vibe. I asked for the ‘fire-table’ in my reservation and they happily placed us in a beautiful communal table with a fire place in the middle! The guy server who helped us was amazing and all of his recommendations were spot on! Their scallops is one of best I’ve had and you can really taste the sea! Yakitori Chicken skewers has a very good char and smoke flavour. We also ordered their Prawn sushi press and California (Crab) sushi press. Both were okay and really great for appetizer. I also had their Sake flight (3oz sake x 3 glasses) and it’s a good way to introduce yourself to Sake world if you haven’t had one. It is best to pair it with their amazing appetizers. I got the chance to see their amazing Karaoke rooms and their Tiny Bar, which were good concepts and nice additional activities in Banff! Overall, we really had a wonderful experience in Hello Sunshine! Hoping to get back soon and try out their Sake Bomb!
