★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hecla is a bit out of the way but it is surprisingly very civilized; not only did we have internet to watch movies by the fire, within walking distance of the campgrounds there is a general store (if not two), a restaurant and even a pub, aptly named Lit'l Viking Bar. We stayed in one of the pet friendly cabins and our large site was very private and had relatively easy access to the beach

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is a beautiful place with beaches to choose from, from quiet beaches, to a little more waves for more adventure, it has a resort, you find cabins, camping sites, the history of the place is also interesting, a bit far from Winnipeg but it is worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome place to camp and very affordable premium cabins. Water front camping in the premium cabins as well make for easy early morning bank fishing. Bathroom facilities are daily kept.
