I was about to go to another nearby bakery but discovered they took advantage of the lower minimum wage for minors so I came over here and I'm glad I did. There was a lineup outside because only one customer can go inside at a time. This is fine for summer but winter might be difficult. Also one thing to remember is that the strip mall doesn't have any bike parking options so I locked my bike at the park across the street. I bought a piece of carrot cake and a brownie for $2.75 each. Both very yummy. I also got a BBQ pork bun and a egg, ham, and cheese bun for $3 each. I enjoyed them. Yes, they accept credit cards. No minimum purchase amount.

After trying over 25 cinnamon buns in the City in 2020 this place has the best quality for value. There are a few slightly better ones but nowhere near this price! Their buns are great, the staff is amazing, always friendly, welcoming and very helpful!

Really lovely and NUT FREE! Lucy is a hardworking and kind woman, and it was such a pleasure to deal with the actual owner! Did not get to try the fritters or cinnamon buns, but did get to try the brownie, date square, beef roll, carrot cake, and rice krispie (for free bc she's nice!) Nothing was rock your world mind blowing (though I also am missing their two most popular products..) but I can't emphasize how much I appreciate how real and fresh these all tasted, and that's really what matters. It tasted like it's supposed to, and that in itself is kind of a hidden gem. Like a grandma's baking or something good from the farmers market. One thing that did actually rock my world was getting a ham and egg bun with a real egg and real cheese and ham. It was grand.

This place is so great! Homemade taste, friendly service, and good value. You must try the apple fritter, but also the banana bread, hamburger buns, puffed wheat squares…basically what I’m trying to say is everything is delicious!

So impressed with this little bakery! My toddler and I were at the playground across the street and decided to stop in afterwards for a cinnamon bun. The owner was very kind and even opened the door for us as I was carrying her over. He immediately gave her a free Easter cookie and helped us with our order. I felt bad that we only came in for a $2 cinnamon bun (amazing prices!) and left with a bonus cookie too. We will definitely be back and recommend the playground/bakery combo to anyone with small children! Thank you for your kindness Hazeldean!

WE LOVE LUCY. Delicious cinnamon buns, never thought I would appreciate a cinnamon bun without icing sugar, oh was I wrong. Fresh baked bread, dog treats, amazing cakes made to order, she never disappoints. There is a reason she is a local legend. Would love to see more eco friendly packaging, but the line outside every Saturday speaks for itself. Worth the trip to the south side every time.

Come for the donuts and keep coming back for the fresh baked goods! Apple fitters pictured are quite large and thick. I liked that you can pull it apart piece by piece. The MIDDLE is what separates the fitter from the rest as the centre is filled with apple pie filling! No wonder every time I went in there the donuts were sold out! 3rd times a charm considering I placed an order the day before haha I will say I wish there was more glaze on the donut. Not a dealbreaker but something to note. After a few days like any donut they slightly harden, do not throw away! Throw that fritter in the microwave for a min, throw some ice cream on there and enjoy! The customer service had me going back to try this donut. First two times sold out and upon inquiry the owner gifted me a baked good as a treat. Both the jelly donut and sausage roll were tasty and fresh! I’ll be going back to try the bbq pork bun and ham and cheese buns. Yum! Decent parking if the graders are thru the lot in the winter otherwise you’ll be bumping thru the lot. The staff were following health and safety protocols while wearing masks. Support local and eat well!
