A place to go for less fortunate men over 50 years old. Meals available. Lunch is by no means fancy but there is plenty of food! Many amenities available, clean and tidy. Cool in the summer, warm in the winter.

Great place in the service of the older gentleman who use the facilities available. Only issue is a portion of the staff are quite unengaging. It's appears that they are indifferent to client queries unless their familiar with the client. This lack of engaging behaviour seems contrary to the principles & philosophy of the agency /services.

Based on my experience volunteering at Haven Toronto and being a part of the Fortunate 500, I can attest that Haven Toronto is truly a sanctuary to those requiring additional support. Dave, Kristine and team are incredibly passionate and surely know how to manage an exceptional non-profit that gives back to the community where most truly needed.

They depend on food donations to keep their food services going. They feed men 50 years of age and over, 7 days a week. Other services as well for this venerable age group. Please support them, if you can! They do a fine job. A United Way supported agency.

The Haven is a drop in center for homeless men aged 50 and up. The services that they offer are many. Men wishing to become a client must complete an intake whereby a photo ID is made and given to the client. Some services include shower and laundry facilities. The laundry costs 50 cents per wash and the same for the dryer. Meals are served in the basement and cost 1 dollar. There is a library and computers for use by the clients. A pool table can also be enjoyed. The Haven is a three storied building with a television on each floor. There is also a clothing bank that operates on Mondays,Wednesdays and Fridays. There is an elevator and wheelchair ramp. The Haven is open 7 days a week from 9am until 5pm.

I volunteer once a month at Haven Toronto and it's a wonderful experience. You can tell that everyone who works their really cares about their clients and work hard to make it a safe, enjoyable place for elder homeless men. Amazing work!
