Harold's Kitchen & Bar - Richmond

Best service we have had in a LONG time. Hostess was super helpful and friendly-- chatted with us while our food was being prepared. Amazing food that we all loved!

A bit of a wait to get service at the front desk but once seated, service was pretty good. Burgers were tasty. Clam chowder was good but potato pieces were on the larger side. Calamari was solid if unspectacular. Complementary bread came out warm.

Had a very intimate meal with my wife and her best friend. Due to the ongoing circumstances, the menu is limited but what they had on offer was delicious. A nice little gem in the heart of Richmond.

On Monday, April 18, a group of six (6) of us went to (Harold's Bistro & Bar, 7551 Westminster Hwy., Richmond, B.C., Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel) for coffee, beer and snacks. We stayed there from 4:00 pm to approximately 5:30 pm. By the time we were going to leave, we were approached by the Manager, who informed us that, “this place is not a coffee shop, and it is not a meeting room. We are a restaurant, there is a minimum charge of $25.00 per person. We cannot allow people to meet here while we are serving happy hour.” And she said that she had informed us of that fact before. She said that we will not be charged this time, but would be in the future. We were surprised and upset since we had never been there before. If they want to apply this minimum charges, the waiter or waitress should have reminded us of the rules when we made our orders. There was no signage to show that there was a minimum charge of $25 per head. We questioned the manager where in the restaurant showed about this minimum charge? She said, “we are proceeding with it, and thanks for your advice.” We searched all over their menu, their website, and the entrance, no sign was seen anywhere. The restaurant has the right to setup whatever rules and charges they think is appropriate, but the restaurant has to make their customers aware of their rules and charges. Then the customer will decide whether or not they want to comply or not. “No meeting is allowed” sounds ridiculous to me. How could we guarantee that our gathering will not turn into a meeting. We were especially upset at the rude manner by which we were approached since we had just dropped by for coffee and a friendly conversation. Also embarrassing was that this conversation took place in front of other patrons. Sad to say that all of us were very upset with the above incident and will not return to the restaurant in the future.

This restaurant located in the lobby of the Sheraton is nice. Happy hour is decent and there's lots of seating to choose from. Server Paul was super nice and helpful.

Meeting friend for munch, and we order coffee, club sandwich to share, our nice and friendly server offer to split our order for which I'm so appreciated. It's a great choice all the time, good food and best service. I would be more excited if they have more choices on the menu.

I enjoyed the food and drinks here during a layover. I ordered the butter chicken and it was truly amazing! I enjoyed every bite. The drinks were great too! My boyfriend said the chicken teriyaki was good as well (pic included for reference) but he said my butter chicken was a tad bit better. The bart tender was also the one taking restaurant orders and he was courteous, quick and efficient. Many thanks to him!

This has become my latest favorite and I have been dining multiple times since I went last month. I love the food and the service too. The lamb is soft and flavorful, so is the fish. The seafood pasta is creamy, the scallops and shrimps are the right texture I prefer, they are not overcooked. The vegetables are very nice compliments to the meal. The service is friendly and authentic.
