Hardwood, Laminate, Vinyl Flooring - Ottawa Giant

Hardwood Giant on colonnade, was supposed to the supplier for are hardwood floor in are new house. We purchased the floor in August of last year and put a 30% deposit on the floor that they had in stock in their warehouse and would reserve it for us. At the end of November we went to the store to pay the balance and set up a delivery date, which they did for that Thursday . Well on the day of delivery they set, They did not show up, when we called to find out what was going on they told us the our wood floor that was supposed to be in there warehouse according to them, But they Was backordered and not available delivery. I kept calling to see when the order was coming in, they always had an excuse. Finally after 3 months of waiting and holding us up for all that time, they said I could come in and cancel my order and they would me my money back, it doesn’t help that they delayed our building process for 3 months, moving in etc. they are a bunch of Liars! They don’t deliver on their promise. When I went to the store to get my money back, I asked for the manager, he wouldn’t even come to the counter to talk to me or apologize. Awful company, C.

Good. They are very busy so their voice mail box is full and may be unable to pick up the phone. His hours are reliable, stayed open until 1700, I arrived at 1645 (traffic), and was able to get prompt service.

Im contractor and I install floorings they have a really good quality in all materials the vinyl is the best quality I install since 18 years and only find good vinyl at giant hardwood easy to install and good quality

Mike Gustafson was amazing in installing the floors he is so precise and ensures you get the beautiful outcome you can see in the pictures. He is diligent in ensuring everything is perfect! I would love to give hardwood Giant a 5 star review, like I had originally, but I can't in good conscience do that any longer. We hired Hardwood Giant to install hardwood floors throughout our home in the summer of 2021. Everything was great at first. We loved the service, the work was good and the staff were great. Things took longer than expected, but being in the middle of covid that was not overly shocking. Near the end of the project, we started to notice work quality decrease. We had paid to have the stairs to our basement changed, and they forgot about them. They came back and did the work, so no harm done. With the Job complete I left a review - that review was a 5-star review despite some small problems we had. We weren't happy with the trim work, but this isn't their main business so we didn't want to detract from the flooring work they did - but we did feel it was important to be truthful in our review so I included some criticism of it in my review. We even had their lawn sign on our lawn for months because we appreciated the work done. Yesterday I reached out to Brian because we noticed a couple issues - our handrail on our second floor is out-of-level, and our basement stairs are fading after less than a year. His response was shocking: " After your online review I refuse to discuss anything further with you. You can contact my lawyer at Mills and Mills. " Following that I changed my review to 1-star, and I tried to reason with him, but this was the response: "Stop harrassing me and posting online. You even said in your previous online attack, you had to redo my work it was so horrible. That means you were the last to touch it. All of this is now a result of your own workmanship. I will have my lawyer contact you about this harrasment and defamation. " I'm just in absolute shock. I did not ever suggest that we did any work on it, I did not "attack" anyone - I just shared an honest opinion. And now as a result I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on floors that the seller and installer refuse to support. I can't in good faith tell anyone to do business with this company anymore, and I'm deeply sorry if anyone read my previous review and decided to do business with them and got similarly burned.
