★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Please turn off the bell sounds for guiding next available tills. It was killing me. It bells every few seconds. Stupid ever idea which is kicking out valuable customers. Stupid. Turn it off right now and find better quiet idea. I hate this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Popular Korean supermarket like H mart. These two markets have sales every weekend starting Fridays so shop Friday or Saturday early mornings to beat the crowd. Otherwise you will be stuck in the parking lot for a while. I found produce to be not as fresh as H mart so make sure you check them thoroughly if you buy any. I usually buy snacks or soups here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good spot to buy authentic Korean groceries. Prices are reasonable and they have a good variety of ingredients to choose from. Their meat and produce are fresh. The quality and selection of stock are also much better thank H-Mart

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good quality products and assortment. The people who shop there are a little rude but the customer service is pleasant. Maybe the layout in the store is the issue.. there is small walkways in some aisles that don't allow passing other shoppers. So be patient and you'll enjoy your shopping experience.

The Aisle Descriptions are pretty useless as they do not contain any of the actual items in the aisle. They do not look like they were changing inventory either. I asked an employee where seafood pancakes were and they had no idea. Lots of items are fully in Korean. Prices seem pretty damn high compared to T&T and other specialty stores. Veggies were of mediocre/low quality. They do not help you bag either, and will accept another person to check out while you awkwardly rush to bag all your stuff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was there recently to purchase a hotpot soup base for Chinese New Year. Went home only to find out the product was expired. The powder base had clumped together and was hard like a rock, and the dried fruits and condiments (goji berries etc) had all become sticky and gross. Very disappointing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place was the original korean grocer before Hmart came in. But their ability to stay in business and actually do well speaks volumes on how good their prices, services, and products are.
One of the things that Hannam outshines Hmart in, is their insane sales. The only thing is, theyre a bit spontaneous so it's hard to gage what to prepare for and what to look for; for example, today, there was a whole box of orion custard for only 2.99.
Their selection of foods and snacks are a touch more authentic in their cooking and are generous with affordable pricing.
One of the worries that I had with two korean gorcers being across the street from one another was that they would carry the same products. Interestingly enough, overlapping isn't too bad and even if its the same food item, its often the next competing brand so there is a flavour variance.
All in all, great store, can't recommend it enough.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When it comes to Korean food, cooking ingredients, recipes and delicacies I will definitley recommend Hannam Supermarket here in BC. They have branches in North Road, Surrey, Robson St downtown vancouver and Langley. You can find a lot of great asian stuff here like rice, veggies, fresh meats, fish, noodles, fresh fruits, canned goods and a lot more. One also of my great find here are packed meals (just like japanese bento box). The store is clean, great people and staff and the price… not that bad…
