★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been a customer since I moved here 10 years ago. I pretty much purchase all my supplies at your store. Recently I have been comparing you to other retailers and noted your prices are higher 90% of the time. Today I came in for drywall compound and you were almost $10 more for exactly the same item. I don't mind paying a few bucks more to support my local businesses but, this is a huge variance. It's not the first time I bought some plumbing supplies a while back and when I went to your competitor I did a price match and you came in at about 40% higher for the same thing. I can also say the last few times your staff made me feel as if I was an inconvenience. I also run a business and would want to how I stack up against my competition in order to constantly improve.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been buying supplies from Haney boulders For the past 6 years, Over the last 6 years I've had the pleasure of dealing with All the st staff throughout the whole store and yard . Haney builders is a mom and pop shop dedicated to our community. The staff ate very knowledgeable especially the contract sales guys inside sales . If it wasn't for Haney builders and there support of our business in the beginning and throughoutour journey, we would have never made it this far. It's a family business , you guys are our family and that's how it feels at the store .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Double the price of Rona on the lumber I needed ($52 per board vs. $27 at rona) and over ⅓ higher than San Cedar ($32 per board). Also, Rona quality is better. I picked 1 out of 10 boards at Haney builders to buy. Rest were junk (live edges, twisted, huge knots). At Rona, I turned aside 1 out the 11 I looked at.
It's too bad. I like to spend at small businesses. But not double. Their staff are great though. And that's what keeps me trying to buy there. Just finding the last few trips I end up chosing to go elsewhere after having stopped in.

Yes, those are the boards I was referring to. San Cedar had them in stock. I bought them there. They're at $3.15 a board foot. Rona Maple Ridge doesn't have the stock because I bought them out yesterday for less than $2 per foot. The truck was to be bringing more in today. Other Rona stores also had stock, but the San Cedar was closer for me to travel to.
The quality issue I raised was not this trip, but my last. I bought a bunch of lumber to build a garage. Purchased in two loads so I could bring home in my truck. First load was from Haney. Second from Rona. While I did pay a few pennies more per 10' 2×4, it was definitely the better lumber. The ones I got from Haney had bark edges, and those were the good ones that weren't warped.
I do hope your purchaser gets some things figured out. I like your store and staff. Just getting a bit discouraged with my last few trips in.

In addition, on my trip in person to the store after figuring out that they stocked what I needed. I received fantastic help from Kelly at the service desk. Thank you for being patient with me, asking about my project, giving your expert advice and helping to choose and get my order delivered when we couldn't fit it into our vehicle. Keep up the great work - you are an asset to the company and the reason that we will be back again for future projects!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had an account with Haney Builders Supplies for 21 years. Items being purchased by myself and my staff. Recently I visited Haney Builder Supplies and attempted to make a $20.00 purchase and was informed my account was suspended. While in the store I called my office and was advised that payment was mailed. Knowing this I asked to speak to their accounting department and was advised they would not be in the office until next week and they would contact me. I left my business card.
Monday I returned to Haney Builders Supplies and again asked to speak to their accounting department and this time was told they were busy and they would contact me, once again I left my business card.
3 days has passed, I returned to Haney Builders Supplies, asked to speak to their accounting department, as this matter needed to be cleared up, and again, I was told by the counter staff that their accountant was busy and they would contact me. Frustrated, I told them I wanted to close my account.
Again, 3 days later, I returned to Haney Builders Supplies and asked to speak to their accountant and the staff at the service desk called the accounting department, again, I was told they were busy and would contact me as soon as possible. Next day I received an email from their Credit Manager saying "per your request we have closed your account for Active Auction Mart. Should you ever want to re-open your account please contact me"

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am a big fan of Haney Builders! The store is well laid out, selection is...ok for most items. Not alot of pretentious high end tools and I appreciate that. I've bought alot of stuff here, pretty much from every department and they have all worked out without issue. The staff are super friendly and helpful without overbearing "you finding everything okay?" seven times.
Overall, I say shop Haney Builders for all your hardware needs!
