★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had an awesome lunch here today. We all ordered lunch specials but did a little sharing. The Bhindi Okra was delicious as was the Channa Masala, the Chili Chicken and the Lamb Vindaloo. We ordered our meals with medium spice but I would ask for the next level stronger next time. We also tried the Aloo Naan, which was stuffed with potatoes. Very tasty! Ram took good care of us and we will definitely be going back. Great new place to add to put in our Kits rotation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had chicken and lamb biryani. Good chunks of meat , rice was flavored well, chicken was juicy, it was a delicious biryani. Flavors went deep into the rice. Staff was very friendly . Kheer was tasty. Highly recommended. Will go soon to try their special palak prawns and grilled kebabs

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Easily the worst Indian meal I’ve had. Use to order from the Dunbar location and it was usually pretty good. Butter chicken had an almost crunchy piece of meat. Lamb was brutally over cooked. Spat my last mouthful in the kitchen sink.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best salty lassi in Canada?: They give it the perfect balance of cumin and salt? to make this an authentic North Indian styled savoury yoghurt drink served on ice. Try if you enjoy savoury cold drinks, but notice, when I share, I’ve usually observed my westerner friends opt to pass.
Handi also has terrific vegetarian and vegan dining options. ?? My hands-down favourite main dish here is the daal ?with plain basmati rice. The lentils are creamy and savoury served in a copper bowl. I have also enjoyed the ? aloo gobi, chana masala, and eggplant ? bhartha. All were very tasty.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Handi's has a nice spacious atmosphere, and it was a nice warm refuge on a rainy afternoon. The service was friendly, professional, and prompt.
The lunch special was satisfying and had enjoyable flavours! The lentil soup was rich and flavourful and the naan was perfect.

The naan was really good. Their curries had good flavours, but lacks dimension. Cucumbers in their salad was dry, which affected their visual appeal. Serving temperature of the curry and rice should be warmer.
Overall an ok experience. The server seemed a little inexperienced, but she tries. She lacked confidence, but was attentive (she'll get better with experience). This place has potential.
