Hair Peace - Calgary

Have been going to Anita for 17 years! She is an amazing stylist and colour pro! I now take both my daughters and have referred many friends!

I'm sad to say that I can't recommend this place, particularly if you're a blonde. I went here for the first time a few months ago to get my roots lightened, and my hair ended up with an unfortunate brassy tint at the roots (after hours and hours of my hair being dyed and re-dyed to try to get it right). I was told that they'd figured out the issue and that next time would be no problem. I was leery of returning, but because I live in the area and because I was assured that they knew how to get it right next time (and because I feared being charged a color correction charge by another salon due to the results of my first trip there) I decided to give it another go. Now I wish I hadn't...I literally had to go in two days in a row to have them get my hair remotely near what I wanted, and even at the end I wasn't all that happy with it (after 2 days and about 6-7 hours in the salon, I was ready to be out of there!). I think the stylist tried her best, but honestly it just felt like she was not all that well-versed in how to deal with light blonde hair. I've been a natural blonde all my life and have had my hair lightened/highlighted/coloured numerous times at other salons, and I've never had someone tell me I have "difficult hair" and I've never had results that I wasn't happy with until now. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars instead of one is because the people who work there are genuinely nice people and their prices are reasonable, but that's not enough to make me ever want to go back. After all, you get what you pay for. Blondes beware!

Literally just walked in there and I was treated as if I was a vagrant entering the bank. I was just curious to see what was inside and tried to chat the lady up about wigs and hair pieces since the store is literally called 'hair peace' I get the joke. But all it seemed like was her wanting me to leave. ? I'm a student at the Aveda Institute about to graduate and I'm currently looking for salons to take me in as an apprentice. It's too bad because it's a cool looking salon on the outside, but the people? Not so much on the inside.

Hair Peace is a fantastic salon. The ladies there are remarkable and treat you like royalty. Cut, color, new style!! Whatever you want they will deliver. Highly recommended!

Anita does a great job cutting my hair for a reasonable price. She is very accommodating and flexible and a wonderful conversationalist. I like Kathy too, but she has her own clients. Great friendly atmosphere.

I am absolutely thrilled with how Anita did my hair. I showed her a picture of the style I wanted and she did such an amazing job. She colored my hair and added low lights I can't be happier. I will be going to see Anita from now on. The space is welcoming and so comfortable. Thank you Anita for doing such an amazing job.
