Highly recommend this business!! Hadwin’s did some HVAC upgrades in our house last year. Reasonable quote, great work! Our furnace quit this morning...we gave Hadwin’s a call and they had a technician to our house within an hour. Friendly, professional, extremely competent group of people. Thanks!

I contacted Hadwin’s in March 2021 to service my gas heater. The technician attended on March 17th and determined that the gas valve was faulty. The report read: “Accessed unit, tested operation. Unit will not start. Verified god (sic) spark ignitor, gas supply is good. Found gas valve is faulty. Sourced parts, cleaned up site. Will quote gas valve and other replacement options.” I was charged $325.50 for this service. This seemed an excessive charge for what should have been a fairly straightforward process. I complained about this unsatisfactory service and the bill was reduced to $283.50 with the explanation that “…please note we have to account for the time spent calling wholesalers sourcing out replacement parts as well as a new heater.” I paid in full. This explanation would indicate either the technician required further assistance in diagnosing the problem as he felt unqualified to do so, or was looking for parts or replacement units to solve the problem. I responded: “I appreciate that there is a first time for everything and I have no problem paying for work that has been agreed upon and completed. However, I'm not in agreement with paying for time spent browsing/searching on the internet or time spent on the phone.” I indicated that I looked forward to receiving a quote for a new heater. Five months later, in spite of the fact that my bill was apparently for “time spent calling wholesalers sourcing out replacement parts as well as a new heater”, I have not heard again from the company regarding this matter. A further problem with Hadwin’s service came to light when I needed air conditioning during the recent heat wave. My A/C unit would not start. Because of the poor service I experienced from Hadwin’s, I called another company to service the unit. Unfortunately, this led to a distressing series of events in which it appeared that the compressor was faulty and the unit could not be repaired. Apparently I needed a replacement unit at an estimated cost of at least $7,500.00. Fortunately, as a result of further consultation, a very experienced technician from a third company was able to diagnose the problem, not as a faulty compressor, but faulty wiring when the new furnace, purchased from Hadwin’s was installed by them in October 2020. The wiring was corrected and the unit has performed perfectly ever since. I reported this to Hadwin’s and received the response: “Sometimes mistakes can happen on the low voltage wiring and the wire unfortunately must have been put on the wrong terminal.” On neither occasion has Hadwin’s taken responsibility for the problem or offered any compensation for the expense and aggravation occasioned by their incompetence. In summary, I would warn anyone considering using Hadwin’s to carefully evaluate their response before agreeing to any costly repairs or service. Each time I have aired my very legitimate complaints to the company I have been brushed off with banal comments that trivialise the expense, trouble and stress I have been subjected to as a result of their incompetence.

The fan on our air conditioner quit during this heat wave. They has someone here in 2 days. Kyle was pleasant and professional. He was able to replace the motor for the fan the same day. Our whole experience with them has been excellent!

Hi…thank you to all at Hadwins HVAC and Gas who helped us out…Brian, Madison and of course Graham whi installed our new HW tank. Called them on Monday morning, and had new tank installed Tuesday morning. HVAC and Gas did all our gas installs in 2012 when we built our house. Brian was just starting out and I wanted to give him the same chance others had given my son and daughter when they were the same age. Brian has a personality that doesn’t quit, his team at the time included Madison who is still with him and John, whom I hope has retired by now. We could not have been happier with their work ethic and how truly easy they were. They helped me out like it was old times, and want to thank all three of them. I HIGHLY recommend this company and it is wonderful to see how they have stayed together and made a great name for themselves. Sadly you will always hear from someone who wasn’t happy, but we sure were. Keep doing what you’re doing boys. Success is the best!

Emergency Call out and they had one of the most knowledgeable technicians I have seen. The first cold night became warmer to hold us through till they were open during the week. Very very thorough before they left the house to make sure everything was working. The furnace installation was the same as well. Delivered everything on time and on budget. I highly recommend this company of Team Players that deriver quality on time!
