They also invested in new equipments since then and repaired old ones too, which is maybe “normal” but hey it’s worth saying it! Well managed, good classes and cool people!

But I had to take a trip, for five months, and asked to cancel my account (planning to come back with them). I went to visit them, and they said they could only process cancellations over email. I asked them if the email used to deliver my contract was the correct one, to which the person in the counter said “yeah, it’s our standard email.” Well, it happens they changed that email 2 years ago (and no one responded to my cancellation request). Upon seeing a new monthly charge, I immediately asked about it—just to be told that email Inbox was inactive. I understand that’s a miscommunication issue. But they clearly saw I intended to cancel (and never used their facilities). they still refuse to give me back my 45$ monthly charge. I feel it was their fault for not verifying the email or carefully indicating the address involved in the cancelation procedure. It’s sad that they break a long-term relationship with a client who absolutely recommended that gym to everyone—all for 45$ that were mischarged. But that just shows where their priorities stand. As for new clients: keep this as a reminder as to how they handle issues.. It’s apparently always the fault of the client.
K	Kristov Martens on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What can I say, I love this gym. I started going here when I first moved to Montreal in 2015 and have been going ever since. It’s always been a solid gym, decent variety of equipment, reasonable prices, and nice staff. They keep the place very clean, there are lots of classes to choose from if you’re into that, and the overall vibe is fairly positive. My French speaking skills still need improvement, but they have always been very gracious with their bilingualism. They also were quite transparent with how they handled their billing throughout the pandemic shutdowns and didn’t charge people when the gym was closed. Overall, I have to say I really respect the gym. It does have a few downsides, the free weights area is a bit small and some of the weights are worn out. It can get fairly busy, and at other times it’s not a lot of fun when trainers lock down a bunch of equipment for their clients’ routines. But I suppose this is common in most gyms these days. Anyways, pretty minor issues. Keep being awesome GDP, and thanks for everything.
