Our goal is to provide a SAFE, FUN and EDUCATIONAL horse experience for children aged 6 to 16.

Our staff have several years of experience with horses and children and many are former camp students. Our group leaders are required to carry current first aid and CPR.

The ranch is family owned and operated with over 50 years experience in the trail riding industry. Griffin Valley's knowledgable staff have grown up with many of the horses and have been involved with the ranch since they were children.

Hello, my name is Olivia. I've been working at Griffin Valley Ranch since 2009 and was a camper for 5 years before that. I have my full level C2 in Pony Club and love passing on my knowledge about horses to others. I have competed in show jumping, as well as, hunters and eventing. I love being able to come out to the ranch for a few months and really enjoy riding and have fun on all the beautiful trails. I'm looking forward to another great summer, hope to see you there!

Hi I'm Chelsea! This will be my 5th summer working at Griffin Valley Ranch. I cannot wait to meet you all and make sure you have the best time at camp! I have been riding for 12 years now, but my first trail ride was at Griffin Valley and I have been horse crazy ever since! All I want to do every summer is be out at the ranch with the horses and kids, so I can't wait be back again and share new adventures with you all. See you there!

Hello, my name is Raquel. I have been riding for as long as I can remember and attended several camps at Griffin Valley Ranch. In addition to riding, I was a cadet for the 2137 Calgary Highlanders RCACC and I am an avid outdoors person. Currently I am taking the Equine Science Program at Olds College. Once I graduate I hope to find a position training horses. This is my fourth year working at the ranch. I have many amazing memories from my time at the ranch and look forward to creating more. I look forward to meeting everyone this summer!

Hi my name is Karissa! I absolutely love my job because it brings together my two favorites things: people and horses! This will be my second year working as a camp leader and trail guide, but I have been coming to Griffin Valley Ranch to horseback ride since I was eight years old. I have also done several years of English riding lessons and competed in show jumping. When I’m not in the saddle, I am at the University of Calgary working on my Bachelor of Arts in English and Bachelor of Education. I can’t wait to enjoy the outdoors with you and my four legged friends at Griffin Valley Ranch!

Hi, my name is Kaitlyn and I started riding at griffin valley ranch when I was 9 years old. I have come back every summer since then and this will be my 4th summer as a leader. I just recently started to take english riding lessons, but the majority of my riding experience was gained through this camp. When I am not riding horses you can usually find me playing ringette. I love spending time at the ranch and I can’t wait to see you all this summer!

Hi everyone, I'm Vanessa. My heart has been at Griffin Valley Ranch ever since I came to the camp when I was seven. I can't think of anything better to do all summer than to ride horses and share my love of them with everyone else. In the winter I take riding lessons, curl and play volleyball. I also play the bassoon in my school band. I am so excited to see all your smiling faces this summer!!

Hi my name is Brendan. I have always had a passion for animals, especially horses. I have been taking both English and Western lessons for most of my life. My passion for horses was not truly realized until I attended the horse camp, for the first time, five years ago. After two years as a camper, the following summer I returned as a leader and have been coming back in that role ever since. My time at Griffin Valley Ranch makes up some of my favorite memories. I hope my enthusiasm for horses can be shared with the new and returning campers this summer. I can't wait to spend time with you riding, singing and laughing this summer!

Hi there, my name is Natalie and I have been going to the ranch since I was 7 years old and this will be my fourth year as a leader. I love being around animals, especially horses and rabbits, so naturally I loved the ranch from my first week. I haven't missed a summer since I was 7. I gained the majority of my riding experience from attending the horse camp at Griffin Valley Ranch as well as some riding lessons I started two years ago. I am currently finishing my 2nd year of High school and I plan on attending the University of Calgary and eventually study Veterinarian Medicine. Aside from horse back riding, I play French Horn, swim and play the piano. I can't wait to meet all the new and returning campers. I hope to see you all at the ranch!
