After studying with several other karate schools, I made my way to Greenwood and did not know what I had been missing. If you are looking for a genuine education in traditional Okinawan karate with a focus on personal challenge and friendly competition, this is the school for you.
My fellow students are of varying age and fitness levels, but everyone here steadily progresses and our dojo's focus on technique and detail is obvious in our proficiency at tournaments and seminars. I am proud of the education I am receiving. It is equal parts physical challenge and mental exercise. I am thrilled to be a part of this dojo and highly recommend joining us!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My 12 year-old son and I have been studying karate with Sensei Austin for 4 years. I do mean "studying". If you are looking for a quick black belt this is not the place. If you are looking for a serious but great place to learn the art, science and philosophy of Karate you will find it here. The kids classes are fun and engaging; they learn technique and discipline in a safe friendly environment. The adult class is also excellent. Sensei Austin explains everything in detail keeps the energy high. I am a 51 year old chiropractor and find the more karate I do the healthier and younger I feel. I recommend this dojo to anyone and everyone.
