Stopped by to get some things for lunch and dessert. The creamy mushroom and mushroom chicken filled buns were so light and tender! The honey cake was to die for, best I have ever had! We couldn't wait for tonight, and ended up gobbling up a slice this afternoon. It had a beautiful honey flavor and the cake was so moist. Will definitely be getting more in the future, and we will have to pre-order a full honey cake for our Ukrainian Christmas next year!

I learnt about the Malina Bakery from my son's friend. Homemade Ukrainian Food with a cafe. All in let's go! Malina did not disappoint! I had the nalysnyky with chicken, mushrooms and cheese. My husband had the varenyky with mushrooms and cheese. Our friend had a varenyky with rhubarb and strawberries. Win win on all. Malina Bakery has a steady flow of customers so I recommend stopping by early so you have a good selection. Adding Malina Bakery to my regular stops for the foods from my childhood.

We had a wonderful Saturday morning coffee in this neighbourhood gem. Their Americanos are spectacular. For pastries we tried the cherry strudel and the poppyseed roll. Both were great. Next time we will be also trying the honey cake. This place was nice and busy with a steady stream of people - which is a great sign. If you’re looking for a great, family friendly cafe with some unique items - check them out!

Firstly, if I could give 6 stars I would! This restaurant is hidden in a small strip mall, but their sign out front is easy to spot. There's just 21 seats inside with big windows that allow lots of natural light in. It feels like a Baba's kitchen with display cases showing off all the amazing sweet and savory treats. We picked the bench seat, both facing out so as to enjoy the atmosphere. Their menu isn't big but their products are all homemade. We both decided on the Dido Combo with some wine. The borscht, fresh buns, green onion and sour cream was served first. Not only is the serving size generous, but the smells of fresh dill, roasted beets and buns was to die for! The visual of the food alone was eye pleasing, whereas the smell and taste was exceptional. Next was our sausage, perogies, cabbage roll and homemade coleslaw. Let me just say that everything was amazing. The perogies had that smooth potato flavor along with the perfect dough, the slaw had just the right amount of acidity, the cabbage roll was a delicately with it's fine herbs and ground meat and the sausage was juicy and oh so good! Even though I thought I would be too full to have a dessert, the display case called my name. I picked up three and brought two home. The Cherry Streusel was light, with a nice mix of sweet and sour. I brought home the Walnut Twist and had it with a cup of decafe at home. The nuts were full sized and it was of soo tasty. I'll save the cake for tomorrow though. The next time I'm craving a home cooked meal I can see myself returning here. The service was great, the food was exceptional and the memories it brought back of my Grandma were strong.

Friendly service, put additional desserts on our plate (that we didn’t order). Great area and staff! Came here again for a second time, amazing desserts, pastries. The strawberry rhubarb strudel and the honey cake were absolutely amazing! Drinks were okay, but baked goods shine here.

Made the trek from Spruce Grove to visit Malina Bakery for breakfast before starting our shopping and errand day. What a beautiful, cozy bakery with seating. We tried the cottage cheese pancakes which have a great balance between sweet and savoury and we also tried the omelette. I’ve been craving a mocha for a few weeks and finally got one that hit the spot! We left with a giant bag of sweets ?
