★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The volunteers are nice and I know it’s not their fault but I drove across the city on exorbitant gas prices to find out they were told they do not accept private donations without any guidance on how to make donations.
Economic inequality, food inaccessibility and hunger are rampant problems in Vancouvers underserved communities - making food donations exclusive and out-of-reach to the public seems far removed from the basic purpose and existence of food banks.
I recommend greater accessibility and ease for the public who want to contribute but are on the outside looking in.
