About GPS Bottle Depot West
GPS Container Depot was the first established Bottle Depot in Canada. Opening in April 1971 by previous owner David Green. With the recycling business getting busier and busier, by 1999 Dave opened a second bottle depot in West Lethbridge. GPS also known as Greens Pop Shop quickly became an iconic business in Lethbridge.
Dave Green played a huge role in the establishment of ABDA (Alberta Bottle Depot Association), sitting on the board for many years before retiring in 2015. Since 2015 GPS is owned and operated by Brian and Doug Eakett.
At GPS, we are constantly finding new ways to improve our depots to better suit the needs of our customers. We have recently expanded our north depot and installed automated equipment. Allowing us to process your order faster and more efficiently. Due to the growing population in west Lethbridge and the continued support of our loyal customers we are currently building a new fully automated 6,000 square foot bottle depot to replace our west branch. Our new depot is located just off Heritage and University DR, and is expected to open summer 2020.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had pre counted my bottles and watched what others were brining in. I was given barely any money for the 13 bags I had brought in. Not that I care about the money but it was odd to get a very small amount back. The girl who was counting my bottles was nothing but rude and ignorant and shook her head at every bag I brought in. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arrogant and rude employees. Also they're not giving you the correct amounts back. Please watch them like a hawk and check. Won't be going back. Over 9 black bags of recycling and all I got back was $80 when usually I get over $100.
