★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This daycare really goes above and beyond for the kids. My wife and I have picked up our nieces and nephews from here many times and have gotten to know the teachers and they are just lovely people. We will one day bring our own children here. Additionally, I was previously hired as a photographer to take some photos of their events like fathers day/ mothers day. The owner/manager and the rest of the staff were always a joy to work with. With the permission from the owner I would be more than glad to share some of my photos on Google.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This daycare allows the children to continuously scream at a high pitched squeal for a couple of hours every afternoon. I'm not talking about children playing, this is loud shrieking that goes on, uninterrupted, every afternoon. This squealing is a learned behaviour and it is clear there is no teaching going on here to have the children lower their volume. This has been an ongoing issue for many years now. Dialogue with the owner is met with complete ambivalence. This daycare moved into a residential neighbourhood, people are now working from home and they have complete disregard to the concept of being a good neighbour. If there are zero boundaries for kids behaviour outside, who knows what's going on inside... ***Follow up based on the owner's response. This is not one child having a hard week, this behaviour has been allowed to go on unabated for years. They have a right to "play" outside, just as much as I have a right to quiet enjoyment of my home and should be allowed to work uninterrupted while you utilize the neighbourhood to make $$$. Teach children to be respectful of their neighbours and intervene while they're screaming rather than sitting idly by. *** Following up on owners feedback - this is not a child having a bad week, this has been an ongoing issue for years and the owner simply doesn't care.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our youngest daughter just started at their new location (on 15th W) and I have to say that I'm blown away by the level of service and quality. The integration was smooth, really high level of communication and care for individuality of the child. 5 stars!

The owner who is a mom of 2 is highly educated, kind, passionate, and her staff members go above and beyond for their students. I am forever grateful both my children spend their early years in this quality childcare.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had abad experience with this daycare. I registered my son in this daycare (Marin Dr location)for about 5 months,and this short time was enough to make me disappointed. Teachers complained about my son multiple times (like he is noisy, hyperactive, not agood listener and so on).I was always stressed out when I went to pick him up.I got many complains from the manager, Miss Maggie,.She wanted me to talk to my just 3 year old son at home and advise him to follow his teacher 's rules. She labeled my son with lots of things like Aggressive, Hyperactive, rulls breaker..without any medical education and imagine she was talking about just 3 year old boy.i'm happy with current daycare my son is registered at and I can see he is happier here.I don't recommend this daycare at all.

Golden Star offers different extra curricular activities for their children and we love being a part of their development.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love this daycare and the staff. My toddler is excited to go to daycare everyday and I think she has really benefitted from being in that environment. Her language and social skills have increased so much since starting here Will be be bringing my new daughter here once she is old enough :) Highly recommend.
