A	Adrian S on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you get a ticket for eating at Roots, try reading the signs. It's the Dog Shop and Convenience store parking, not Roots. Maybe ask the owner of Roots to pay your ticket. Better a ticket than being towed.
S	Stephanie Brosky on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was going to grab snacks for a day at the park, before we even had a chance to step away from our car, an employee accosted us about parking there for the cafe next door. We told him we were going to get things at his store as well and he said we had to move our car. My husband went to move the car and I stayed behind to wait for him so we could buy our snacks. The employee came barging out again and threw his arms up in the air. At this point, I felt he did not want our business, so we decided to spend our money else where.
c	colin dee on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dropped into this place for the first time today to check it out . The sign out front saying they had UK treats piqued my curiosity ! Have to say was impressed by the level of friendliness and also the selection of snacks that I was craving ! Will be back for sure .
C	Cleveland Stordy on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Parked in front of this store for 15min. Got a coffee next door at Humble Roots Cafe before making purchases at Golden Ears General Store. Came back to a $120 parking fine from Diamond Parking Asked for forgiveness from store owner, pointing out that I was in fact a patron of the Store. Store owner refused and lectured me about learning lessons, and about how people parking in his lot was hurting his business. Told him that he would not receive any future business from me. Here's a lesson for you Golden Ears General Store: These types of actions are going to hurt your business a lot more. Don't treat your paying customers like trash. It's no wonder your business is hurting. You can try to blame it on parked cars all you want, there's plenty of parking space, and I guarantee you that Humble Roots cafe next door is bringing you more business than if they were not your neighbours. Bu you're sad, and ungrateful attitude towards your customers and neighbours is the thing that's hurting your business. Maybe if you learned how to make friends with your fellow business owners and customers, instead o harbouring unnecessary resentment, you'd find that you'd be happier and more successful. Good Riddance bro!
G	Gina Seki on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Normally I wouldn’t write a bad review but my boyfriend and I just parked in the parking at the groomers which is closed because of COVID. Normally we grab a pop from the store and go for a walk to see the horses. Today I just had some apples to give away to the horses across the street. When we came back the guy from the store told us we would be towed next time. I don’t think I’ll go back again.

This is a great little shop with everything you’d want from a convenience store. It’s always so sparkling clean, the coffee is always fresh and their homemade cookies are exceptional. Best of all is the friendliness of the people who work here. Always smiling and cheerful, they make everyone feel welcome. It’s really a lovely store.

I can't understand why some reviewers think they should be able to park their cars in this business's parking lot while they go feed the horses or eat at the next door deli. This guy is running a convenience store business and convenient parking is important! This is an awesome, well run general store! Owner works there and is very friendly.
