Goldcon recently completed a master bath and powder room project for us, and we were very pleased with the process. Karim and Kaveh were incredibly professional and personable to work with, provided valuable guidance and advice, were responsive to our input, brought in excellent tradespeople, and completed the project on time. We are very happy with the end result.

Goldcon Construction did an excellent job renovating our kitchen and master bathroom. We received quotes from a number of contractors and decided on Goldcon based on the transparent quote and pricing, but also positive references from previous clients. Karim is very professional to work with, responds quickly to questions and concerns, and lives up to his commitments. No surprises. There was someone working in our townhouse nearly every single day, and our kitchen was completed (demo to finishings) in only four weeks! We are very happy with the quality of workmanship and when we did identify a small issue after the job was complete he was over right away to fix it. Karim is a great guy and Goldcon does nothing but quality work. We had the pleasure of working together on a home and Goldcon trusted us to do the clients security and surveillance system. The client was very particular and demanding but we managed to make it happen and have the client happy thanks in large part to Karim's trust and excellent communication skills. He coached us through exactly what the clients demands were and the best way to approach the challenging contract and this was vital in leaving a very specific and highly demanding client very happy. These guys built a custom home for me. I have had experience with several builders in the lower mainland. I had interviewed numerous builders prior to going ahead with Goldcon to complete my project. I 100% made the right choice in doing so. I would choose them again in a heartbeat and would recommend them to anyone who is looking to renovate or build a home. I contracted them to build a home but what they ended up providing was peace of mind and attention to detail I have not experienced elsewhere. They did things as promised, on time, as well as on budget. They always had my best interest throughout the process. This is not often seen amongst builders. The quality of the work from them and their subcontractors was better than I expected. These guys were on site extensively ensuring execution. They are meticulous and you can tell they take pride in their work. In the rare event there was an error it was rectified quickly. We engage Goldcon Construction for our home's renovation. We are not engaging Goldcon via referral. We studied their website and found houses after their renovations look fresh and modern. We have a meeting with the team (Karim and Kaveh) to have a deeper understanding about the company and their way of work, as well as compared with some other contractors before formally contracting Goldcon. During the renovation process, we found them very nice, patient, reactive and professional. We're happy that apart from doing what we request, they would try to offer alternatives for our consideration in order to hopefully make the overall results turn out even better. The whole process is interactive and impressive. We won't hesitate to recommend Goldcon to anyone who is looking for a new modern look of his/her house.

My realtor took me to see a number of houses on the North Shore and once we got to the Modern Farmhouse built by Goldcon, we instantly knew this house was the one. It wasn't what we thought we were looking for at all, but the second we walked in changed our minds completely. The attention to detail was exceptional, material and products used were perfect, and the build quality was phenomenal. We did our deficiency walk through and had to nitpick to find anything, and even then there was really nothing. Kaveh and team was an absolute pleasure to deal with and incredibly responsive with any questions we had. All around, an absolutely exceptional experience on a dream property. Highly recommended.

From the initial consult, proposal and budget, to the finished project, Goldcon were very prompt, courteous and attentive to all of our questions and concerns, including providing great recommendations where we were uncertain about aspects of the project or finishes. Kav, Karim, and the team at Goldcon Construction are absolutely amazing. Words really cannot describe how grateful we are to Goldcon - but since this is a Google review, I will try my best to paint a picture of how we worked together. Doing construction on a new build or a gut renovation is not easy. Despite having done minor renovations on other properties, this was the biggest renovation we had done to date and we were very nervous about spending so much money. Prior to selecting Goldcon, we had interviewed about 15 contractors. All of them were great sales people, they all sounded like they knew what they were doing, so narrowing it down was difficult. We eventually got it down to 3 companies (Goldcon and 2 others) and signed up to a design document with 1 of them that was not Goldcon. By the time we had finished the materials list with the other company, we realized that it was already out of date. With supply shortages and limited materials during COVID, it was nearly impossible to get exactly what you want in a reasonable amount of time. This made the quoting process extremely difficult for the 3 companies presenting bids. Typically in construction the contractors will charge a "Cost Plus" model or a "Fixed Price". For fixed price, you need to have a perfectly crafted scoping document so you know exactly what you are paying for. For "Cost Plus" you are paying a percentage on top of the cost of the project. Virtually all the contractors wanted to use a Cost Plus Model given all the uncertainties with supplies and labour. I just didn't like this idea because it didn't feel like the contractors would make an effort to negotiate the best price for us. Goldcon was one of the only contractors that was willing to do a fixed price for the build - but they were concerned that we would need to submit a variety of change orders if the supplies that we had chosen were out of stock. So we decided to settle on a fixed management fee and pay Goldcon in installments that were tied to milestones reached. As soon as we signed on the dotted lines, they got to work. And they worked fast. Trades were organized extremely efficiently, one after another. Multiple quotes were presented to us for each trade and they often were able to get their existing partners to match prices of lower price suppliers. Design ideas were brought to the table and discussed at length, but very quickly and efficiently. Communication was effortless, we setup a WhatsApp group and kept a history of all the things we discussed. When we had a difference of opinion, they always reverted back to "It's your house, you have whatever you like, but we just think XYZ would make the most sense". This was reassuring to us and most of the times we ended up going with their suggestions and it paid off. At no point in the process did we feel like we were being bullied into doing something or were we uncomfortable with the process. So overall, there are 100's of reasons to choose Goldcon and ZERO reasons to work with someone else. If you are looking for a builder for a new house or to do a larger renovation, Goldcon is the only company that I would recommend.
