overcharged me for rent, had to complain to building and area manager, still took a month. took 7 months to replace a broken stove and never put in the ventilation. most apartments stink if they are near the garbage chute. some floors have bedbugs (heard this but not sure)

Homestead is the worst property management company I've ever seen, the staff are always impolite and they don't have any patience. If you report a problem, they just know how to blame you and tell you it's not their responsibility. A lot of useless construction, you always have too much noise and dust. Not recommended this place to lease.

THIS place sucks i am stuck living here because of my lease and the place is INFESTED WITH roaches I can't stop crying there everywhere. i got my apartment sprayed WHICH IS FREE TO DO HOWEVER THEY WONT TELL ANYONE THIS...The manager said they are not going to spray the building; so even though i got my apartment sprayed and spend hour keeping it insanely clean because no one around me is going to get their apartment sprayed i had roaches back in 3 days...i have seen them in the elevator, garbage shoots and they are all over my house one just crawled over my phone! ....if i could give this place a negative number of stars i would!!!!! if i could leave i would leave but I cant because of my lease...so i don't recommend moving into this apartment unless you want to live with roaches and a managing staff who just shrugs and tells you to just live with it.

Had a terrible experience living at skyline 221 glenridge for a little over a year. I was unaware that I had to give 60 days notice to move out so at the end of my lease I was told I needed to stay for an extra 60 days because I did not give notice. That is fair and is my fault because I did not know renting laws so I am responsible for that. What frustrated me was when I called their head office in Oakville and spoke with Amanda Hutchings and ask her if there was any way we could work around this and I was hung up on mid sentence. Her tone was extremely rude and when I tried to call back the phone was just hung up on. Then I spoke with the people who work at the building and they told me if I pay $250 and find a new renter that would sign a lease I could leave. So that’s what I did. I was thankful for the advice even though I do consider it a slighted business practice to charge someone $250 to find them a new client. The building does have a roach problem at least all the people I spoke with say they see them. The security cameras don’t work. On my final day moving out I had brought several bins and expensive jackets to the underground parking and left them in my parking space to go bring down more stuff. I had noticed that a lot of my stuff was missing and when I asked to check the cameras for people in the elevator at the times it went missing my concerns were shrugged off by saying. β€œit probably was someone from the homeless shelter next store”. We wont be able to know because the cameras in the underground parking were not working or at least that’s what I had been told. The reason I am writing this is because today I received an email saying that my last months deposit would take 4 to 6 weeks to be sent to me. There head office is in Oakville and I live in Niagara. Its extremely frustrating to deal with skyline and as the former president of the brock university’s students union I would advise all students to ignore the buildings proximity to campus and live somewhere else. -Patrick Foster

I have a lot of patience I'd like to think- but this place has tested me. My apartment has been sprayed FOUR TIMES for roaches, and it's clear that the reason the apartment is infested STILL is that there are people not letting their apartments be sprayed, along with how long the building has gone with little to no repairs. There are strips of carpet peeking out from the edges where the hardwood was put in, the cupboards in our apartment were falling apart and we didn't realise until the lease was signed. Even the base boards of the apartment seem to have been shoddily made, making cracks and crevices perfect for bugs to hide in. Don't Rent Here. Please, it's not worth the money they're charging, don't make my mistake. I'm a college student who has lived in borderline slums before and I cannot wait to get out of this place. -J

If I could give a 0 I would. DO NOT move here. Please. Homestead is the new management and staff are extremely rude and unhelpful. As soon as you put in your deposit you can guarantee they don't care anymore. They shut off the water with little to no notice for hours at a time. Parking costs an arm and a leg yet they don't bother to enforce it. Dozens of high school students trample through the parking lot littering every day and shouting during the school year. Homestead refuses to address the issue. The building has no AC and to use a simple window AC they charge you. I've had horrible encounters with staff. They wont even open the door for you if you forget your key despite living here for a year and them clearly knowing you. That's just the tip of the iceberg. If you enjoy constant construction noise, garbages that are never emptied, litter, and blatantly disrespectful staff then this comes at the low cost of 1200 dollars a month. Please save your money and your sanity. Rent somewhere else.

Where do I start? 1) Incompetent and awful management. I spoke with a woman named Judy re: renting an apartment at 221 Glenridge. Her tone could only be described as rude and off-putting, as if she was talking down to me. Apparently, Skyline was in the process of selling the building (221 Glenridge) and was well aware of this before I provided documentation to secure the apartment. However, they decided to go through with processing my application, knowing that the building was in the midst of being sold. 2) Skyline does not understand the concept of communication. I was told that the application process would take a maximum of 48 hours. 8 days went by without a word from Skyline, along with many messages and voicemails left that were not returned. When calling customer service, I was fed the same lie time after time. When I finally did receive communication from Skyline, it was Judy again and she spoke to me in the same tone of voice as if it was reasonable for me to wait 8 days to hear back from them, despite providing ample evidence that I have a full-time job and good credit history. I would like to thank those who have read until this point, and I highly urge anyone who sees this to not do business with Skyline. - Jay

I wish not to give even one star. Super dirty, lots of cockroaches in the building and suits, dogs poop everywhere, the gym has never been cleaned. These are the photos that I took today from the parking.
