They are only one way valves therefore allowing contaminated air to exit the mask. The point in wearing a mask is to not only protect yourself but others. Tried to contact them to get more information about the valve and when I explained that these valves shouldn't be sold since they are not recommended they hung up on us. Just giving anyone a heads up before you waste your money on something you cannot use. Shame on you, Giroux Sewing Centre. My mom is a very good client of yours and she spends a lot of money at your store. Response to reply: There were 2 calls concerning the valve the women we spoke to did in fact hang up and did not inform us the filter option. She also said that it was only a one way valve. So which is it? 2 way with a filter fabric or not? It was a simple question but no one seems to be able to answer. The second call was a friend of my moms who spoke to a man but was also told it was a one way valve and he did not mention the fabric filter. Still unsatisfied with the service and product.

The staff working in the store are helpful, friendly, and it makes it a real pleasure to shop here and support this locally owned business. Living in winchester I have the option of many different janome dealers all within about 45 minutes, and this one is my first choice!

Would definitely recommend for any sewing supplies or fabric needs :)
M	Mattea Pike on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I feel really bad I have to make this review, and I waited several weeks before posting anything to make sure I wasn't responding out of emotion. Mr Giroux sold me a sewing machine early this year - it was my first time buying an industrial sewing machine, and given the lack of accessibility at his store my mentor couldn't come with me. He was an excellent salesman, I bought a Pfaff 545 from him. First time I used the machine, it jammed and the hook broke and a gear in the bobbin lost a tooth--it turned out he sold me a machine without the safety clutch. When asked about that, first he said the safety clutch wasn't necessary and then he insulted my ability to sew and my mentors ability to teach before hanging up the phone on me. He had the machine for two months "fixing it" with no contact. Long story short, when I asked for my money back (a large sum for a person getting into the trades) he refused to give me a full refund, refused to refund shipping, and made me find a vehicle to drive the machine out to Cornwall before giving me a partial refund. All this to say--ive heard Mr Giroux is good to buy parts or thread from, but I am deeply saddened to say I would not ever buy a machine from this man.

Giroux Sewing Centre has been very helpful for us. Very pleasant staff, who are always helpful and very knowledgeable. They have a great selection of sewing products and tools of the trade. A bit pricy on some of their products. Recently brought in two machines for cleaning and overhauling and their repair service is excellent. Would recommend this store for any sewer or quilter.
