Called to get additional information on an adopted puppy vaccinated by this vet. Secretary was rude, indicated they vaccinated as a favor to farmers but kept no records. I indicated that this is a sketchy practice and they should keep records on the animals they treat. Secretary said, " don't tell me how to do my job." Very sketchy and rude. Avoid.

My vet of choice. Always accommodating, always prompt, always professional, and always gives details, no matter how complex. It's nice to be included in the diagnosis as well as the treatment. The best barn-side manner that I have ever seen, and always kind to the creature as well as their humans. They are my vet for a reason, and always will be.

I would to thank Dr Leah Knox and Wendy from Gilson Equine for the professionalism, care and compassion they showed for our miniature horses today while doing their dentistry . In these challenging times , it is wonderful to be able to count on knowledgeable Professionals , who are happy to explain the process and answer any questions that we have. Thank you ! Would highly recommended .

Best Veterinarian ever! I appreciate the way things were explained, but mostly I was so happy that the doctor didn't recomend services that weren't needed ! And that is amazing because my old Veterinarian used to charge me so much! I should really focus on the amazing treatment of my cat Jenny P! She was treated like gold! And also the staff called me the next day to see how she was doing. Kind, knowlageble and fair costs! I highly recommend this Veterinarian! Thanks again for easing my mind!

As a former client and employee of this clinic, I can assure you that your horse(s) received the best possible care. It's unfortunate that 1 disgruntled person that made a telephone inquiry re her choking horse gave a 1 star rating. I know that people can be disappointed when their routine appointments are moved to accommodate emergencies but rest assured, the same courtesy is extended to all registered clients. If your veterinarian will be away and he/she does not have someone filling it for them, it's up to you to set something up in advance with another veterinarian before an emergency arises. It is not uncommon for there to be 2 or 3 emergencies per day at a clinic. The emergency calls from EXISTING clients where there is an established patient/doctor relationship will always be serviced first. Stephen (Also known as A-Hole man that answered the phone).

Not a placent experience with this clinic i had to get a second opinion and rechecked there work with a different clinic lot of wrong Dignoseshighly. don't recommend them for anything

Kelly and her staff are"AWESOME" . They are so kind and caring to the animals and ourselves. The team is very well organized, knowledgeable and efficient in what they do. We highly recommend this team

I can't say enough about how great Gilson vet was. My mare who has really only recently begun to be handled cut her chest up bad enough to need stitches and sedation. I was caught unprepared, I just moved and after a call realized my previous vet didn't cover the area I had moved too. This was a big fail on my part and it left me scrambling. However, my vet recommended I reach out to Gilson. Not only did they respond to a non-client out of hours, but Melanie and her assistant (sorry I didn't catch your name :-) ) showed up in 40 mins. And despite having to work outside in the cold, and had to deal with a nervous horse (and owner), they remained cool, calm, and were friendly, gentle, and most of all patient. They took the time not only to fix up my horse but to also help me understand all the follow-up care required. It is always terrifying when your animal injures itself but even more so when you have a vet out that you have never worked with. I cannot be thankful enough to everyone who responded at Gilson including Heather back at the office. Despite the injury, it was the best first experience my mare could have had for a vet and I will certainly be using Gilson from now on for all my routine equine care. Thank you!
