Lots of items, but didn't have what I wanted (they don't carry it)
Friendly staff. They even looked to see if they could order my item (again, they couldn't)
Pricing wasn't bad. Comparable to other big box hardware stores and even Costco.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love this store and have had many good experiences. However, over the lock down, I ordered an item that I am not happy with because I was unable to see it in person. After getting the item, I realized it was too expensive for what it was and wanted to return it. I have been told I have to wait 3 weeks to return it which is completely ridiculous. If they are open for orders, they should be open for returns as well!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not too happy with the service I received from this place . I recently went in to price out some BBQ parts I needed and spoke to a man there and left him with a list of the parts I needed. He assured me someone would call me with a quote and sure enough I never did get that call and this is after me repeatedly calling them to ask what was going on . I basically got the old runaround, well our expert is coming in tomorrow blah blah blah . Never got a call back . So I finally got my parts from a napoleon dealer in Cobourg. Obviously gilmers home hardware is only interested in selling you a entire unit rather then waste their time with parts . And by the way I purchased my napoleon unit from them 7 years ago , you would think I would have gotten better service then that ! .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing service by Peter who went up to customers is there anyway he could help. He helped me look for the product was not in stock so he ordered it for me. Heather in the paint department was very helpful choosing a product to seal my tub. Great change Gilmours!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was the only store with accurate inventory ( in stock! ) for the American Standard Cadet Pro toilet I wanted. Bought one Saturday love it, returned on Monday to get one for my Mom and Dad. Very professional well run Home Hardware unlike the ones in Oshawa and Whitby that indicated they had several in stock but didn’t which was very frustrating to waste so much time and fuel. Thanks Gilmer’s! Happy customer!!
