We just bought a G70 through Trisha Lee at Genesis Markham. It was an amazing experience and Trisha was fantastic. She made us feel very comfortable with the purchase and gave us all the information we needed to make an informed decision. And she guided us well when we came to pick up the vehicle. We are very happy Genesis customers. Kudos.

Inquired about the GV80 SUV and was pleased with the response so far. My Hyundai Santa Fe has been impressive so expecting the GV80 to be equally good when they reach showrooms. Hopefully a good experience when they arrive given the current environment and the unique Genesis biz model..

I've had a very poor experience with the Genesis Motors Canada office as well as their Toronto showroom (in fact the experience with the showroom was so bad that I ran out of room while leaving the review!!). Anyways, my 2019 G70 3.3T as well as the companion app have been letting me know that my car's service interval is 10,000KM or 12 months - whichever comes first. Not only is this consistent with the vehicle's owner's manual; but the manual also states that in stop and go, and short distance driving (typical in Toronto), the service interval should be reduced to 6 months. When I called to schedule the 'complementary maintenance' (at the 6 month mark at 9,000KM), I was informed that my car needs be driven 12,000KM for service. When I mentioned the Toronto driving conditions and the conflicting information in the manual, they told me they will send me an official email explaining the discrepancy - this never happened. A couple weeks went by and I decided to go on a 5,000KM road trip. I called the Genesis Motors Canada office once again to request service and told them that my road trip would put me firmly beyond the 12,000KM mark and that I would like service before I went on the trip. They agreed, scheduled a time with me, and mentioned that someone would be calling within a couple hours to confirm and finalize the pick up details (they are supposed to pick up my car and leave another one behind) - this never happened either. I called back two days later, and they told me again that someone would call me back by the end of the day - didn't happen (are you sensing a pattern here?) Two more days have now elapsed, and I am running out of time before I have to go on vacation. Do yourself a favor and avoid this brand (and if you are still not convinced, check out my review of the Toronto Genesis dealership!) EDIT: 4 hours after leaving this review, I received a call confirming my service appointment. However, upon receiving the vehicle after the service appointment, I noticed that the service interval had NOT been reset on the car (the car still warned me that service was overdue). I also checked video footage from my front and rear dashcams... both showed that the hood of the car was NEVER OPENED during the entire 'service appointment', (nor was it raised on any platform to facilitate draining the oil) As far as I can tell, the only 'service' I received was a software upgrade...

I bought a brand new G80 2021 through David Tran Genesis Markham. I received it January 8, 2021. After 2 days I noticed that the navigation system does not work properly. I returned the car on January 13. The next day they told me the Navigation system needs an software update. Since then they still did not fix it but they are unable to tell me when it will be fixed. All I get from them that they escalated the situation to Genesis Canada. I am frustrated deceived and disappointed after paying some $80,000 for the car I cannot get any answer from them.

The worst ownership experience of my life. Sales was perfect with post sale support from them that really tried. Technicians have no idea how to service the car however, even got what I’m sure was a falsified safety cert from Hyundai Mississauga. Have since sold my G70 and was charged a full monthly amount 1 month after loan cheque was sent to genesis! Has been 1.5 months now and still haven’t gotten that refund but was also told I’d get 75% of it since they had not β€œreceived” the cheque...it took them 1 month to get mail? Stay away from this brand completely. Car of the year with the worst service you can think of. It’s not worth the included maintenance, and if you sell your car, they’ll try to keep any owing balance as long as possible to collect interest on it. Trust me I was one of the first people in Canada to get a G70 and gave this brand way too many chance. STAY. AWAY. Update 1: Sold my car and it literally took Genesis 6 weeks (pre-Covid) to get the payout from the dealership and record it in their system. This resulted in me paying 1.5 months of my loan to Genesis while I literally didn’t own the car anymore. They refused to refund even though the cheque was post marked and dated. Will never come back. Update 2: Have gone with Audi and the experience has been night and day. Excellent all the way through. Update 3: Someone actually called me from their office due to this review and was kind and considerate after going of my history with them. They couldn’t do anything to get my back the over $500 Genesis literally stole from me (see top level review in this thread). A lot of their GTA locations for maintenance also have horrendous reviews (go check for yourself). If you really want a lux SUV, seriously just go with a German brand and buy a maintenance package for the extra $1500 so you can save yourself this nightmare that won’t stop

-drop deposit at genesis maple -find out through youtube ppl in canada were getting their gv70s -they had let go of my sales rep and nobody picked up my account -transfer my account to genesis markham -receive a car with a malfunctioning seat, lumbar keeps deflating -this is a big problem for me as i suffer from a back injury -call for service, they said they will look into it. -2 weeks go by and i call back, they have no record of me calling. now i know i need to stay on top of it. -1 month gone by till i finally drop car off for service at 9am, they call at 4pm ask me to leave the car with them as they started late. -had to rebook another week later -now they tell me they need to keep the car for a few days, -now need to wait for loaner -2 month passes, finally get a loaner available but they wont agree to pick up my car from my house (genesis experience promotional feature). -parts replaced from korean, back orderd -get my car back 1 month later, problem still persists -have to rebook a loaner, another few weeks go by, have to drive with one hand on the lumbar control to keep seat inflated while driving it is now 7 months into my 2 year lease now and still no word of the problem being fixed. i barely got to drive my car and was extremely frustrating and painful to drive in it while i had it

I never write reviews but I have to for this This has been the worst ownership experience I've ever had. My Genesis 2019 G70 has been in the shop for more than 8 months since I've had it. The vehicle rolled back about 3 feet on my driveway one night the vehicle accelerated into my garage as I was stopping on the driveway (caught on camera) - they gave me, "it's the floormats" spiel initially. They kept the vehicle for months to investigate and found "nothing" As soon as I got the car back I was able to reproduce the problem by starting to drive right after a cold start (~< -15 C) ... you know Canada gets cold... After this Genesis dealership had another look and admitted that something WAS actually wrong with the vehicle - they changed something the won't supply me with a record of what work was done now my AC and sunroof don't work

Mr. Harold Jung was the best car dealer in my experience of many decades so far. Hope all the best to his career. I like the car a lot. GV80 is much better than my previous Mercedes GLE400 in many aspects.
