★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I can't say enough about the excellent customer service at this garden center. Both people that we talked to (Alisha and Barbara) were incredibly helpful and accommodating. We are on the mainland and we just found out that our friend is in hospital in Nanaimo. I called Gardenworks to see if they have orchid plants in stock and if they deliver. They went out of their way to email us pictures of the various gorgeous options that they have, and they are going to deliver the plant we chose and a card to the hospital on our friend's birthday. I highly recommend this store.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best places in nanaimo for selection on indoor tropical plants and accessories, great selection of plants, not so much during winter seasons but that is understandable.
Those who complain about prices are often looking at hard to find or rare plants that carry a high price tag and i'm thankful they even bring those plants in to begin with, common houseplants are priced about the same anywhere in town including at gardenworks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love the look and all the cool things you can buy but the plants the bring in are waaaaaaay overpriced being bug infested. go in often and everytime I come out with no house plant due to crazy bugs. Went in a couple weeks ago cuz they got in PPP and Pictum tricolor...the PPP was infested with gnats, like tons! And the Tricolor was mites and webbings all over them. I told the lady and she said they were prevention treated, I told her well that sucks since I wanted one of each and clearly it didn't work since they are covered in webs and I could see them on there. Then I wanted an orange blossom tree....yup you guessed it! Aphids and mealy bugs ? I love the store but seriously, home Depot has less pests!! I have a huge plant collection and can't afford to bring in infested plants. ?
