The Home Depot

Just recently moved to the island and found the team in the garden / bbq area to be very knowledgeable and go out if their way to walk you through a purchase. Service like this will have me going back again and again. Want thanks.

I ordered a bathroom vanity online from Home Depot Canada on April 6th, 2022. I was given a delivery date of April 9 – 11th. After a week late I contacted Home Depot and was told they had no answers for me but would escalate the matter and I would get a call back in 24 – 48 hours. No call back. I posted online about my experience and was contacted by Home Depot and offered a gift card to Home Depot for my troubles. Still no delivery and no estimated date of delivery. I called again on April 22nd only to be told the same thing, no estimated date of delivery, they can’t help me, and I would get a call back from a Manager in 24 – 48 hours. They said they would contact the delivery company for more information. No call back. I called Day and Ross (the delivery company HD uses). I was told they could not help me, that the order is on a truck in Victoria BC and they have no idea when it will be unloaded. Asked to speak with a Manager, was told none was available. I called HD again this morning (April 26) and was told that they had no update, that they would contact Day and Ross (I asked if they had done that on the 22nd and they said they did but did not receive a return email). I asked why they are using a delivery company like Day and Ross (which has abysmal reviews online) and subjecting their PAYING customers to this nonsense? No answer. Meanwhile, my bathroom is torn apart, I have a contractor on hold to do the work, I have family visiting me this week and am down a bathroom. What is your response to this Home Depot? Give me my money back and take the hit yourself, why are you passing this on to your customers? Your gift card is worthless as I will NOT shop at Home Depot in the future given this lack of customer care.

The guys in the tile dept were awesome today! As was Amber at checkout. GIVE THEM A RAISE! This is so they will stick around and continue to be helpful and awesome.

Staff helpfulness is hit or miss but selection is decent. The app saves a bit of time so give it a try. The self checks are very yelly. Great overall though

Well today was disappointing. Went to buy $5000 worth of roofing materials the nice woman at customer service directed us to the pro desk because it was such a big order, that's where it went sideways. The employee at the pro desk was having a conversation about life with a friend or family member that must have seen him in the store. We waited for about 2 minutes and finally got fed up and walked away, the friend of the employee said sorry go ahead and the "pro" just laughed and said don't worry about it. Well your loss home depot ill find somewhere else to spend $5000

Great selection. Staff is always very helpful. Sometimes a little difficult to get a staff member to assist due to being busy with other customers. I find it has reasonable prices

Found some amazing plants! The garden center has so much selection and there were some great sales.
