★ ★ ★ ★ ★ While scheduling the tree removal came with a couple hiccups that were mostly out of the control of anyone (weather!) the professionalism of your team from start to finish has made us extremely pleased with your work and your company. The guys who came out to deal with the tree were really nice, extremely hardworking (I was AMAZED at their strength and how brave they are!) and they cleaned up the yard nicer than we'd left it for them!
We are so happy with the help, and very appreciative.

We hired Garden City Tree & Landscaping to build our back yard patio.
This company made us feel like we were family. Their team is considerate & professional. Every step of the planning was made easy for us to understand and their willingness to accommodate our needs was, in our opinion, above and beyond the scope of the project. From our first meeting with Colin (Ownership group) and Derrick (Project Manager), we knew we were in good hands.
Tosh and Justin were extremely pleasant and worked tirelessly in the summer heat to give us our dream backyard patio.
Chris and his tree service team at Garden City were amazing. It was all about how safely they could get the trees removed. They were in and out in no time and they cleaned everything before handing the reins back to the build team.
Taewyn and her office staff made our journey that much easier, as well.
I highly recommend the Garden City Tree & Landscaping team...

The employees who completed the work were friendly, professional and extremely efficient. Best of all, the work was very well done and completely changed the look and feel of our yard. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After a new sidewalk was installed last year, we were left with our lawn being a foot higher than the sidewalk. We needed a simple solution by creating a new garden bed plus a new pathway to a side gate. The office staff were great and arranged for timely appointment with their estimator. This contrasted with the many other landscape companies that could not be bothered to call us back or simply were not interested in a small residential job. We appreciated being treated like important customers. We want to share a heartfelt thank all the crews that worked on our small project – Jessie, who came up with a plan; Derrick, who fine-tuned the plan, Anita, the gardening expert who listened to our needs for low maintenance and deer resistant plant choices, Sean and Miles, who did the heavy work and installed the irrigation and last but not least, Kiesha and Shane that pulled everything together planting all the new plants plus the ones we had “rescued” before construction last year. We appreciated Derrick and Anita’s suggestions on how to tackle the project and helped us narrow down what our vision was. The crews did a great job of leaving the site neat and tidy everyday, kept us in the loop, asked and answered questions and were a pleasure to work with. We get compliments on our garden every day and I have no hesitation in recommending Garden City. Thank you, Vicky T and Corey S

From start to finish, your team has met and exceeded my expectations.
Jessie was great to work with and very good at listening to our wishes and working within our budget to meet our needs.
Derrick was accessible and helpful in organizing the right people to complete our project on time and on budget.
Satoshi and Justin worked tirelessly ( in 28 degree heat ) to do the hard part and never complained once.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We contracted with Garden City for "removal and disposal of all low
lying invasives (ivy, holly, blackberry) and removal to grade of front
yard and back yard Sumac trees."
Their quote was significantly more than we would have paid a couple of
independent workers, but we decided to pay it so we could rest assured
it would be done properly and that part of our yard could be cleared
of ivy and blackberry.
Instead, Garden City sloppily weedeated the ivy and blackberry and
disposed of the debris, but they did not remove the invasive plants
(or even all the growing vines), and they left the stumps two feet
above grade.
In a follow-up email, Garden City said, "We clearly had no intention
of removing the [plants in the] root systems and stumps."
They seem to be pretending they don't know that, in low-lying
invasives like ivy and blackberry, the root system IS the plant. And
they apparently added to their follow-up email "removing the stumps"
(which we did not ask for) simply to confuse the issue.
So they had "no intention" of "removal and disposal of all low lying
invasives," for which we paid them.
The ivy and blackberry are already growing back. We will now have to
hire someone else to remove and dispose of the low lying
invasives--thereby costing us twice as much.
We have reported them to all the relevant business authorities.
So, unless you like hiring someone who will, without a
flicker of conscience, flat-out refuse to fulfill the contract that they
themselves wrote, stay away from Garden City.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I hired this firm to do an extensive landscaping job. What had once been beautiful gardens and lawns had been neglected for many years and were in terrible shape. They came in and completely transformed the wasteland into a beautiful landscape. Dead and dying trees were removed and other trimmed to allow a view of the water. A new feature was a gravelled area near the waterfront for enjoying life; a table and chairs made this perfect for relaxing. An existing flower bed was rejuvenated with the removal of blackberries and other weeds and a reduction in size. New plantings made it come alive. Sod was laid and the lawn areas are now lush and green, replacing the weed-filled dead lawn. The finale of this job was the replacing of dangerous old steps to the beach. This project took some time, but communication was great throughout. I always knew what was going on and, if I had any questions, they were answered the same day. I am extremely pleased with the work that this firm has done for me and highly recommend them to anyone who needs works done. The quality of work is second to none and their workers are friendly and efficient.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just had this company reshape and trim our cedar hedge, damaged by the snow and they topped and shaped another small group of cedars. Cory and Dan did a great job, looks perfect. They were on time, friendly, professional and cleaned up perfectly. The estimator, Todd, was also prompt, very knowledgeable and friendly. We have no hesitation recommending this company and we will have them back for follow up as needed.
