From The Potting Shed

With a venue like Hacienda Sarria we didn't want to go overboard on decorations so we relied heavily on the flowers to spice up the decor. The Potting Shed delivered beautiful flowers, on time and set them up wonderfully. I was too busy getting ready upstairs to even know what was happening so it was a wonderful surprise for me to see them all the first time as I walked down the aisle. It was gorgeous. The ladies at TPS knew exactly what was necessary to help make the venue pop. Everyone there was in awe of them, especially the fireplace. They had recommended 2 15' garlands and I remember thinking that was going to be massive, but they knew what was necessary and I trusted their recommendation and I'm glad I did. It was the perfect backdrop. Very happy with them. The Flower Party before hand was great. I didn't really know anything about flowers and what all was required and trusted the experts. Glad I did. They know their stuff and were great to work with. Can't say enough good things. (I will admit that there were times when an email or two went unanswered, but a quick follow-up on my end usually solved that. They're a busy group and it shows in the quality of their work. High demand). Thank you for making our day extra beautiful.

I am waiting well over two years for Elaine to allow me to use the $125.00 certificate (that I purchased and that she still has the money for) for merchandise as classes are few and far between right now because of COVID. I have tried many, many times to contact her and she does not get back to you. I know it is only $125.00 compared to what a lot of reviewers on here are out but it is the principal of the matter.

Was so soo happy with our flowers for our February wedding! Elaine and her team were fantastic to work with and created pieces that were even more beautiful than we could have imagined. Flowers were great quality and made it through the whole day looking fresh and beautiful.

Elaine and her 'buds' did an amazing job on our wedding flowers! They were absolutely stunning, and we heard so many wonderful comments about them from our guests. The colours were absolutely perfect and Elaine nailed it with the style and 'feel' of flowers I had talked to her about. We could not have been more happy with "From the Potting Shed"! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I was so impressed with the set up of the flowers for our wedding (out in Owen Sound). From the Potting Shed went above and beyond. The flowers were gorgeous and despite the heat wave (39 C) they looked fresh throughout the entire day (and week according to the guests who brought flowers home). The flower party was a blast and a fun way to plan and come up with ideas for flowers before the wedding! We highly recommend them to anyone looking to have flowers at their event. It was so much fun planing our wedding with them. Thank you again!

My wedding flowers couldn't have been more perfect!! I spoke to a few florists early on, and most of them tried to push their own vision instead of listening to what my husband and I wanted. When we spoke to Elaine, she immediately understood the look we were going for and she and her team executed it flawlessly. Everything was absolutely stunning.

We were so incredibly pleased with our wedding flowers From the Potting Shed. We ordered 3 garlands, a large arbour arrangement, multiple bouquets and centre piece arrangements, and more and it was all stunning! They nailed the look that we were going for. We got so many wonderful compliments about the flowers from our guests. 5 stars!! We would recommend From the Potting Shed to anyone!

Elaine was by far the worst vendor in communication and the only source of stress regarding my wedding that was postponed cancelled and went from 150 to 15 people. I hired The Potting Shed to do my wedding flowers for June 2020. Elaine had a deal that you could pay in full and not pay tax. You would also be entitled to 50% refund if there was a cancellation. So I did the full payment option of which she quoted me and said anything could be changed. Covid happened, and like a lot of engaged couples we had to postpone to June 2021. Then as 2021 started it was becoming less likely that we would be able to host our Irish/Canadian wedding with travel restrictions and vaccinations only beginning. We decided to cancel the wedding and to my disappointment Elaine the owner of the potting shed provided me with the worst communication I had with any of my vendors. She refrained from answering any of my emails or call me to discuss the details of cancelling. She refused to offer me the refund as she failed to tell me it would only be relevant for the first date we originally planned. We finally were able to secure a date to travel home to Canada to have a Canadian celebration which would be a small backyard dinner of 15 people. Elaine agreed to cater to this date, but her response time from emails would be 10-14 days where I felt like I was pestering her to reply to me so that I could organize this event. 3 weeks before the wedding we finally decided on a new product list and she agreed to refund of $1500 in monthly instalments of $250 which she signed a contract for. Even though I was skeptical as her track record of replying to an email from a bride who had given her $3500 was alarming. She signed the contract and delivered the flowers we discussed personally the day of my wedding. I must say I was very happy with how the flowers turned out and to her credit they were absolutely stunning. 5 stars for product but 0 stars for communication respect and service. Elaine has missed multiple payments to me still owing me a remaining $650 and I would truly not recommend her as a florist for a wedding. I know there are a lot of florists out there that are of the same quality of From the Potting Shed but would come with proper service and make you feel like you are their number one priority not one of 57 weddings that they have to do before thanksgiving. I would also like to point out that I never asked for that amount of money back, she offered this to me and in retrospect was probably to get out of supplying me with $3500 worth of flowers which I would have gratefully accepted instead of being lied to about getting a refund.
