β β β β β Jarrod and Sunny hooked me up with a new phone fairly painlessly and they were both super friendly.
Also, BC services card is no good for a credit check so bring a driver's license or passport!

β β β β β Unbelievable customer service! 3 staffs and no other customers inside the store and none of the staffs bothered to talk and explain what are the different plan is! Go somewhere else! Freedom mobile you should be ashame hiring these lazy staffs!

β β β β β I went to east broadway kingston mall store in Vancouver to change the phone I got yesterday. The phone was still in package, I had my contract, and I had my combined BC-id card issued by the government of Canada that I showed to the store rep. I showed the same id the day before and they accepted it without question, but this time the rep called "David," didn't accept my card as a valid card. He was very rude and refused to give me service and when I called freedom mobile customer service, he refused to talk to them! Although the customer service member at the phone told me my id is acceptable in all branches. Even the police came and confirmed that my id is a government issued id. He wasted my time for more than an hour. I got really upset about the service. I am costumer for more than 2 years and was not expecting this kind of treatment.

β β β β β Always able to solve my phone problems by popping in the shop & spending 5 - 10 minutes with a store rep. Probably takes longer to confirm my phone # and other pertinent info than took to fix my phone. And far better service than I had with Koodo when I got jacked one month with a $250.00 bill & no explanation as to why or how....Best move I ever made telling Koodo to stuff their phone system.

β β β β β This is not a review of this location specifically, but of my experience as a Freedom mobile customer after about six months. I think "Freedom" is a misnomer for this company as I now feel like I am now trapped for two years in a contract with a mobile provider that has unbelievably terrible coverage. Anyone who is considering switching from one of the larger mobile providers - be warned - Freedom has terrible coverage around the city of Vancouver, and no coverage once you leave the city limits. I'm not sure what is more frustrating, the poor coverage on Freedom's own network, or the fact that you are bounced to another carrier once you leave their coverage area, and then your wifi minutes are severely limited and you will have to pay overage fees. I had decided to switch to Freedom because their monthly rates appear to be much lower than the bigger carriers, but I regret not doing any research into their coverage. It is a Shaw owned company, and had I been aware of this I would have avoided it for sure. My experience as a Shaw home wifi customer has been terrible too. I will be going back to another carrier as soon as my contract is over.

β β β β β I bought a phone here and wanted to exchange it. The sales person was unhelpful and very rude. Refused to talk to me and even to Freedom mobile customer service. The manager was on vacation and nobody else was available aside from sales people. Freedom mobile customer service also was of no help. Please go to other locations such as Yaletown, Harbour Centre or Downtown location. I was passing by and thought all locations are the same, mistake!

β β β β β No idea how itβs βacceptableβ that Freedom has no idea how they'll ever get an iPhone 13 Pro to sell me. No stock, has been no stock, no idea when any stock might arrive and no way to put me in a queue or otherwise get me a phone in an orderly manner.
That's Freedom. This store, however, was happy to just Β―\_(γ)_/Β― and smile when presented with the concept that I might be unable to purchase a current, flagship phone, advertised near the top of their website. This seemed 'normal' to them.
PS my review is one star higher than I'd like to rate them.
