I am not one to give or spend time providing online reviews, however, the service we experienced here was exactly what a customer deserves. EJ was very responsive to all our inquiries ( timely / efficient responses). His installers where great ( excellent work, clean and courteous). We also found their pricing to be very good and their advice very practical. You will not go wrong with this product / service provider. Our new floor looks great. P.S. they came recommended by the Canadian floor manufacturer which we purchased ( #Vintage ).

Excellent, excellent place to buy your hardwood flooring and installation service. The flooring was delivered as promised and the installation was pristine. EJ helped us through the process- very knowledgeable about his products and the installation process. Quon the installer was precise in his work and cleaned up the area when he was done! Absolutely flawless process. Thank you EJ and Quon. We will be back when we are ready to do our living and dining room floors!

This place has some of the best collection of wood be it local made or imported. The sales person Bryan is very kind and knowledgeable and does a good job in finding the availability of stock and dates to match your interest. The owner EJ is very friendly and is also a good advisor when it comes to design ideas. The buying experience was a pleasure. To top it off, they have got some really good contractors for installation and the work is commendable. if you are a new home buyer, then flooring is one less thing to worry if you opt for these guys.

I went to Floors Direct West to look for hardwood flooring last July. I was told that I could take multiple samples for as long as I needed, in order to ensure that I had the right flooring for a large home reno. I was told there was a $20 deposit for the samples, and was encouraged to keep them until I was certain of the colour I wanted, as they had many other samples in the store. When I inquired about a receipt for my deposit, I was told that "it's no problem, I write everything down, I just need your name". I went to return the samples in January (6 months later). I returned all of the samples, and asked for my deposit back. After the employee flipped through multiple binders (3-4) of papers, he informed me that he was sorry but he could not find my deposit. He asked me if I remembered how much it was for, and I said $20. He continued to look through more loose papers and told me that usually clients don't take this long to return samples and that the $20 would've probably been used to replace the ones I took. I reminded him (it was the same employee that I dealt with originally) that he told me I could keep them as long as I needed, and that COVID supply issues had delayed our reno process. He told me he'd keep looking and let me know if he found anything. I have to say that this is an embarrassing and shocking way to run a business. One, that records are still kept on paper, thus preventing the business to easily track deposits and orders. Two, that for a $20 deposit, he wouldn't take my word for it (which was the truth anyway). I even had my children with me in the store, whom I try to set a good example for. Three, that he tried to blame me for taking to long with the samples, as the reason he couldn't find my deposit receipt. I would not recommend buying from this store, and am hoping that this review might make the owners reconsider how they do business.

Around about 2015 I went on a trek to find a competent carpet company to lay down a 10x20ft beige basement carpet with underlay. I visited the usual selection of competing companies on Dundas St in Mississauga. However, what I took away from that experience was that most of them were staffed by an underpaid, part time individual who was more interested in watching videos on his cell phone or just not much interested in my questions and concerns. Fast forward to today. This time around I hightailed it directly to Floors Direct West, given my positive experience with dropping by their store over the last decade or so. Over an extended period of weeks I got to chat with "EJ" via email and in person; he was always cordial and patient with my questions. My carpeting job was not complex but I did have concerns about putting down carpeting in a basement and on overall cost vs. quality. At the end of the day the total cost, including installation was just over half as the most expensive quotes I had received back in 2015 without sacrificing on quality or installation. I met with the installer so that he could get accurate measurements then returned a short while later when the carpet showed up in Toronto. When I was a child I recall my parents living room taking 2 or 3 installers to complete the job. But this time around I was so amazed of the hard work done by EJ's carpet installer - he was able to do the entire room in a short amount of time and professionally. His work ethic and his attention to detail were most appreciated and not overlooked. With under-padding in place , the carpet was very nice + "squishy" as desired. I was so very happy to get this task completed, done properly and within a reasonable budget.

Amazing experience! I would highly recommend Floors Direct. In addition to their great selection of flooring, their customer service is like no other. It was a pleasure to work with EJ and I will continue to come back.
