Site in Pine Grove near comfort station. Clean showers and toilets. No privacy from neighbors. Site on a slant. Neat trails. Photo on Carp trail.

A nice place to camp with or without children. Marked trails to hike. Also great for a day trip and you can barbecue in the beach area which is not always allowed at other places.

This park offers a beach when you go to the left of the entrance and a picnic area when you go to the right of the entrance. The beach is pretty small/normal size and nothing too special. You do have to walk a bit before reaching the beach since you cant drive in at the entrance (they might change this with the reopening plan). If you go right side of the entrance, it offers a nice overall view of the park and a big green area to play or have a picnic, also a nice place to have a bike ride or walk.

Very pleasant site. Beach. For paddlers / kayak, there is a Quiet, sheltered channel off the main Ottawa River. Ideal for paddling. Nice beach area. If you are camping, Fitzroy "Harbor Pizza" delivers to campground - before 9pm.

Great for family picnic, camping or just hike around the flowing water stream. Nice and clean restrooms and well maintained park with ample signages. Good experience.

Fitzroy is one of the better provincial parks we've camped at. There's a good variety of sites but if you want privacy you'll have to settle for a non-electric site. With a large public area there is lots of room without it feeling crowded. The only small wish is that the roped off section of beach could be larger. Much of it is shallow but it's enough to cool off in. It's on a river so I expect that there is a current further out and might have led to the shallow beach. Facilities are clean and didn't feel over used. We stayed the very end of August.

We had campsite #2 at the Pinegrove campground. I liked that it led down to the water. Keep in mind, it’s more of a swampy stream. But kids still had fun walking in it and we saw deer crossing twice in our 3 days there. There are 2 nice beaches nearby. Both stay shallow a ways out, so great for young kids. One was walking distance and the other a short drive. There are a couple walking trails and you can rent a canoe for 4 hours min for $35 (wish you could do less time bc kids only lasted 1 hour and also the river is super rocky, so you can’t really go far w/out getting stuck in rocks and having to keep a constant eye out). Bathrooms could be more clean (they were cleaned once in our 3 days there). Liked that there were lots of showers and free to use. There’s A LOT of wildlife, including seeing a skunk in our campsite and we had raccoons open our closed storage totes and steal bags of chips at night. Suggest keeping all containers/coolers with food in your car at night! I truly wish there were more electrical sites available. It was high 80’s-90°F when we were there and it didn’t cool down very much at night. Was definitely wishing for a fan and also had to ask other ppl to use their electrical to put air in our air mattress. Came home with poison ivy, so definitely be careful of that. All in all, I would still recommend for a family vacation with a 2 year old and 8 month old. There’s a Tim Hortons & Dairy Queen 15 mins away, if you want to grab a treat away from the campground.

Beautiful provincial park with a beach in walking distance, trails, rivers and a general store. Rentals are pretty cheap and come with life jackets. The locals recommend coming in to see which camp ground you like the most before booking your spot
