★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interesting place of history dating back to the late 17 th century, one of very few 2 storey windmills, built to accommodate 2 sets of grinding stones, currently undergoing renovations, will be open to visitors with guide on weekends, the surrounding park is open year-round, from 6 am to 23h00 hours, great view of the St. Lawrence River from the belvedere...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2019 marks the 300th anniversary of this charming landmark! On the day we went (a Saturday) there was a costumed interpretive guide as well as a "regular" park employee, who let us in and played the 12-minute video presentation (interestingly projected on the curved interior walls of the windmill). Good information (in French), and informative panels throughout the small park, which includes a belvedere with views of the St-Laurent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a charming little place with a nice view on Grobois island. Don't except to do some walking by the Lawrence river as there isn t any path. But you can relax in the place and enjoy the view. The windmill can be visited but it s best to contact Montreal est town hall for more infos or to book.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The windmill is very charming and in impeccable condition. While you cannot go inside there are many billboards providing historical information and details located in the little park. You can find another one in Pointe Claire if you want to share with kids on a Sunday drive. Lovely place to stop for a rest and watch ships go by.
