I started here taking the prenatal yoga classes and have since joined the running group. Deb is such an awesome trainer and always upbeat and positive! I am looking forward to trying more of the mom + toddler classes this summer!

Fitness by the lake is a great place to get your workout in with your little one while meeting other moms in the community! Deb is an inspiring mother who helps motivate us new mom's to train and get back our previous baby bods. Very clean, open space to workout in!

I was really excited to try Fitness by the Lake, especially having read all of the awesome reviews. My experience was bizarre. Firstly, the furnace was not working (I don't think this is a usual thing, but as I had called ahead earlier in the day, I might have hoped they would suggest bringing an extra layer and some socks). There was also lots of noise interfering with the class - both from the furnace, but also from a couple (I assume they live upstairs) arguing loudly. This couple was also smoking cigarettes and the smell permeated the studio. It was not a "zen" experience. Finally, my credit card was overcharged, which was very disappointing (UPDATE: I sent an email after class and the credit card charge was resolved IMMEDIATELY - Thx). The only reason I am giving any stars is because the instructor was very kind and her reaction to these events seemed to indicate that this was not a "typical" experience at the studio. The yoga exercises themselves were very gentle. I would have liked more options for advanced stretches, but I know it is hard to accommodate a room of women at different stages in their pregnancy. I will go back and use the passes I've already purchased to try the Prenatal Fitness (I imagine if I am up and moving, the other distractions won't bother me as much). I doubt I will try the yoga again.

I really enjoy coming here to work out with my baby! I've tried the fit and tone, HIIT boot camp, core fit, and yoga classes and I loved all of them. Deb is really great with modifying the workouts to meet your needs - whether you want to incorporate baby or increase intensity. I'm so glad I found this place. As a first time mom I've been searching for things to do with my baby and this was perfect! I highly recommend Fitness by the Lake to all moms.

I'm taking the prenatal classes at Fitness by the Lake! The Yoga is my favourite. It's been so inspiring to see women who are 35 weeks + doing yoga and heck, doing the moves better than I can at times! It's really helped me become more flexible, and understand what I can and can't do with regards to pregnancy exercise. Same with the fitness class - but I prefer the slower pace of yoga over fitness/cardio... Honestly, this class is empowering. If you're pregnant and past 12 weeks, you should join! Highly recommended. They also have stroller fit classes outside in the spring/summer and they are great and really kick your butt!

I started going to Fitness by the Lake when I was pregnant with my son. I found the prenatal fitness classes so helpful and being surrounded by other pregnant women was a nice experience. We not only worked out together but chatted too. Plus, you cant beat the instructors. They are so kind, knowledgeable and funny. And the studio is a nice and clean space! So my son is now 19 months old.. and I am STILL going to the studio! He loves it just as much as I do. There are even toys there for him to play with which makes it super easy on me.

I started by taking prenatal fitness classes, and am now taking various Mom and Baby classes, and I can't recommend them enough! The classes are extremely well run, fun and challenging. The flexibility that the owner offers is perfect for a new mom, and the passes offer amazing value. If you are looking to stay in shape while you're pregnant, or connect with new mothers when you have a baby, definitely check out Fitness by the Lake.

I cannot begin to say enough about Fitness by the Lake. The classes offered are amazing work outs and have such a variety of modifications for low or high impact. The owner is so quick to respond and very understanding and accommodating. She provides not only great classes but such great service to all her clients. This fitness studio is geared toward all levels of fitness, whether you're a pregnant mom, postpartum or just looking for a good work out, Fitness by the Lake has it all! All the instructors are great teachers. I have done stroller fit classes, mom and baby yoga, mom and baby HIIT classes and boot camp classes with Fitness by the Lake - each one a different and great way to exercise. I love the different classes offered and all the instructors are great. It's also a great community and a great way to meet people and make friends. Once again, I can't say enough about this studio and the owner and If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
