What I find terrible is trying to reach someone over the phone. It's nice that you can leave a call back number, but you must then clear your schedule as is you miss the return call then you're back to square one. You need to call again and get your number back in the queue for another call back.

They have great front end service and are faster than any lender in the mortgage space in approving applications. They also have a simple online portal for clients. They also have some of the fairest payout penalty calculations-much better than Big 5 banks. This has been very apparent in 2020 with rates falling.

I am always confident when I choose FN as my lender because I know they have reliable, honest service for my clients. They have a unbelievable portal that allows flexibility for the client. On the broker side, the turnaround time is great! I deal with consistent, professional underwriters that allow me the ability to get the job done for my clients. Turnaround time with a file is never longer than 48 hrs in my experience. If I ever have any issues or concerns I have a great business development manager in the Alberta region. Sarena is one of the best in the industry. She will always pick up the phone or return emails that day. I consistently use FN for that reason. Sarena is always reliable and prompt when servicing the mortgage brokers needs. As a broker or a client that is considering using FN I would highly recommend as one of your top choices.

You can't talk to anyone who knows anything about your file and their grasp of in a timely fashion is 4 to 8 weeks??.. Needless to say we will not be renewing our mortgage with this company..
