★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were on holidays from Alberta this last summer, and our Buick started to stutter on the highway. I was out there, on my own, with my three kids and was worried about driving the vehicle back to Alberta. I took the vehicle into First Klass Transmission where they ran a scan on the vehicle. Nothing major came up on the scan, but First Klass went above and beyond. I think everyone woman has heard stories about mechanics making a quick buck off women who do not know a lot about vehicles. First Klass charged me a very fair price for the scan, and I walked away feeling at ease.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our car broke down just outside Sicamous, so we rolled it into the closest shop. The gentleman came out to take a look and listen to the engine - he figured it might be our neglecting to change the oil (my bad!) for too long, so he added some and didnt charge us for either his time or the diagnosis! A kind gesture from someone who had us at his mercy. Highly recommend, for the service alone. Thank you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Joe C from First Klass built my 700R4 for my '79 Camaro and it shifts like a dream. After getting it installed it required some finetuning, he drove it, adjusted it, excellent service. Highly recommend them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ok a trevelers worst nightmare........
We were enroute for a two week ski vacation through the interior of B.C.on a Thursday night with our truck and camper. 8pm at night, stop for dinner in Salmon Arm and when we came back out started driving. "Whats that noise coming from our clutch and why cant we shift.....omg our clutch has just grenaded!!!"
So youre in a small town, dont know anyone and youre in a hurry. We are going to get so so screwed!!!
Looked up on the web and First Klass Transmission had 4.7 out of 5 stars. So we limped the truck into the parking lot and camped for the night. John the owner showed up at 8:15 to open his shop. I explained what had happened the night before. He said ok lets put it on the hoist (a heavy Big Foot camper and one ton truck) and take a look. So he and one of his guys (Len) started to take a look at the truck. Wasnt too sure if it was the transmission or clutch?
John gave us a loaner car and said go for coffee i will call you.
He called four times told us what was going on every step of the way and what he wanted us to do?
In the end it was $2800 for new clutch and flywheel in our 15 year old dodge one ton truck. I called my mechanic at home and he said it was a fair price for the service.
I cant thank john and his crew enough. He is honest and tons of integrity. Went onto our destination to continue our ski trip that day!
Thanks John and Len if i could give you 10 stars i would.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our Ford 350 packed up on our camping trip from Alberta to BC. I was devastated because we had commitments back in Calgary that we were not able to deal with. John at First Klass was very understanding and they gave us a courtesy car for the two days we were delayed. They asked my husband what we use the truck for and when he said "towing", they told him they'd rebuild the transmission just for that. They were fast, and we didn't pay a penny more than we were quoted. They didn't even charge us for the car. We were so worried in Salmon Arm they'd have to "bring parts in" but they had everything and were so fast on a complete rebuild. We were very happy with them! Thank you

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The transmission on our van went out on a family trip and we had the van towed to First Klass from a recommendation by a few people. They had very speedy service via phone to discuss what we wanted to do with the van. They gave us a few options and had the old transmission out the same day. We bought a new transmission and they had the van done in a couple of days. I cannot describe how good this shop is. They even lowered the van on the lift so that we could get our thule off to put it on our other vehicle to get home.

Our transmission failed on a Friday, we got towed to the Workshop. They had a look at it, but couldn't fix it that day because it was already too late. Because we couldn't go anywhere and we lived in our van that time, John let us sleep in our van at the workshop over the weekend + until it was fixed ! He even gave us power.
The first thing they did Monday morning was starting to repair our Van. They finished on Tuesday and we were good to go.
Super friendly, quick and qualified mechanic's!
