★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The FFB does some amazing working support sight-saving research across Canada. I'm a big fan of all their fundraising events, like Ride for Sight, Cycle for Sight and Comic Vision. A worthy cause!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I keep getting unsolicited texts from them. I have never heard of this charity, never signed up for anything they offer and have no idea how they got my number. They don’t even give you the option to remove yourself from their text list.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Earlier this year, I pledged an amount on the phone but did not want to give my credit card info over the telephone. Made good on my pledge through FBC's online payment system. Subsequent to that donation, I got several more calls asking for further donations. I already made clear that my donation was just a one-time thing as I am already supporting another charity. Today, I got three calls; I answered the third one. Has just been told that my prior pledge has not been received! Told the telemarketer that I had sent the money a couple of months ago and had even received the receipt. Asked that my name be removed from FBC's call list.
