Great place love the fact one can buy flowers, yet they have plants and herbs. If that wasnt rnough you'll find in the very back a lovely assortment of kitchen items, from dish/tea towels, utensils, containers ect. A little something for everyone. Nice, knowledgeable staff. Definitely my go to :) Havr a great Summer and Pleasekeep safe for yourself AND for others.

Do not support this company!! I am a mother of one of the "girls" (how he likes to call them, creepy, oh we know) and I can say my daughter went through horrible things while working for him. He is unbelievably unprofessional and does not take work safety protocols seriously at all. She mentioned that everytime he would show up to the store, he had no mask and never really practiced social distancing which would put her and all of my family at risk. He does not pay overtime which is 100% illegal and it seems like he does not keep any promises. There is a lot more to this but I feel like this should be enough to notice that this type behavior is unacceptable. Especially when you are dealing with "young woman" Again, do not support this kind of business. You can find other stores with the same items and even cheaper!

This was my first and last visit to this store on commercial drive. Upon entering, I noticed the masks are mandatory signs and yet I was met with an older woman (in her 60’s) who did not have her mask on completely. She seemed to be frantic and mentioned her name being Arlene? She decided to get very close to me to inform me of their sale and offering to help me. I politely declined being that I felt uncomfortable being approached in a manner where she was not social distancing contrary to what her store signage had displayed. I said to please give me space as I am immunocompromised. She stared at me by saying she is practicing β€œsocial distancing” even with her mask down and said, β€œI don’t understand why you’re getting upset in the first place,” and muttered to herself walking away. As I tried to browse the store, she was following me around watching what I was doing. I could see her clearly between the shelves. After a few minutes I heard the same woman raising her voice at a group of girls at the corner of the store. She was very close to them while her mask was still pulled down while yelling at them. I couldn’t help but watch the egregious interaction and was surprised at how her behaviour was towards the girls. Her body language was very aggressive and had her hands on a book that the girls were trying to go through. She seemed to not give them the space they were requesting. From what I heard, the girls were mentioning their hours are incorrect and that they needed to have everything documented for ei claims. One of the girls expressed that it is distressing to lose a job during the pandemic, to which the woman laughed and said, β€œWell I think you have another job lined up already. This is my business, so please take your belongings and leave.” The look on the girl’s face was disheartening. Shame on you for making disgusting comments. This woman was displaying very poor, unprofessional behaviour and I am quite appalled that she is the owner of this establishment. Another customer and I were observing and were very close to intervening. We partially recorded the incident out of concern for these women being berated, should this have escalated. I will not be supporting a business where they treat their employees or customers like this, especially during operating hours. This review was in conjunction with a similar interaction another customer and I shared. To the owners seeing this: Shame on you.

Had a great in-store experience - so much nice/cute stuff, however, can't say the same about what was just experienced with one of the staff members over the phone. My mom purchased what looked like a soap dispenser in-store earlier today. When we got home and she filled it with soap, the soap wouldn't come out. We called to see if someone could walk us through it over the phone. Instead of receiving help, we were immediately told that "all sales are final" and to bring the item into the store. We don't live in the city and wanted to avoid going back such a long way. The whole intention of the call was to receive some helpful guidance instead of a defensive staff member operating off the assumption that we were trying to return something, which wasn't the case. After talking through it, come to find out that the place doesn't sell soap dispensers, and it's a container for watering plants. This confusion could have all been alleviated at the beginning of the call yet wasn't due to the fact your staff member was not helping to listen, only to tell us that "all sales are final."

Went into this shop today, biggest mistake of my life. Most aggressive photos in their frames! Scared me, and nothing seemed to grab my attention other than the clutter. I was expecting a home store? More like dollar store trying to sell pots for $100. The employees seemed to not care about customer service at all, I wasn’t greeted or told about the β€˜moving sales’ I had seen outside. 25% off I overheard, didn’t make the prices budge at all. I noticed a lot of dead and dry plants that I don’t think had any chance of survival! So sad to see! Also confused as why there was snow-globes, and Christmas decor in August. I’m from the community, was hoping this company would get back on their feet from Covid, but seems like it’s been run down brutally. Must be their time to go! Best wishes xo

Pretty annoyed I made the effort to travel to the store yesterday, I viewed their website and it's clearly advertised as a furniture store, so it was quite the surprise to see maybe one piece of furniture in there. Also received terrible service, and by terrible I mean none, wasn't greeted at all. There were some cute pots and plants I wanted to buy but they were extremely overpriced, even with the 25% off sale they have currently. Ended up going to Figaro's around the corner and was not disappointed!

Store is advertised as closing at 8pm. I went after dinner because my friend told me there's a sale with nice plants. I got there at 7:20, after taking forever to find parking on commercial drive and paying for said parking, only to find their door locked. Me and another customer waited outside; we could see a lady inside pretending we didn't exist. The other customer finally knocked to get her attention and she tried to wave us away. We continued knocking because her response was quite rude and didn't make sense. Finally she came over, opened the door a crack and said "we're closed" without any further explanation, locked the door and turned away again before we could answer. I understand the other reviews referring to bad service.

This little gem of a store on Commercial Drive makes it easy to support local businesses. From the storefront, I thought it was a plant store at first, but they actually carry a lot of unique home accessories. Attached pictures are two animals (a French bull dog and an owl) cushions that we used in one of our recent projects. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They are very knowledgeable on the plants that they sell. They helped my daughter picked out a small plant that’s easy to care for at home.
