โ โ โ โ โ We as students need to stop supporting UBC and their scams towards us. Oh you pay close to $1400, for rent a month? Well instead of having SAFE living conditions during the summer, they will boast about their energy efficinecy while you are dizzy and sweating in your 40+ degree room. Truly despicable. UBC exchange is unsafe to live at times during the summer and they need to realize this. This is not an inconvinience, it is a safety hazard that instead of addressing, I will get an automated response asking to fill out a survey. Complete Joke

โ โ โ โ โ The NOISE from the meadow planting (the green area on the 3rd floor) is terrible. Many students are very disrespectful, playing or talking loud while gathered with acquaintances on the ground even after midnight. I have to wear my earphones nearly every night, and since my room is slightly above ground level, this does not block the noise sufficiently enough to keep me from getting agitated. This situation has caused so much stress to me, affecting my studies and mental health.

โ โ โ โ โ The building is nice, the views are great, the price and location are compelling.
- Building fire alarm goes off frequently (3 times in 3 months) at 3am.
This is a good place to stay if you don't mind hanging outside at 3am the night before an exam. I think most people mind a lot though, myself included. I hope building management can find a solution, I asked front desk and they told me that sometimes it goes off every day.

โ โ โ โ โ Noise on the 3rd floor lawn (above bus stop) at night is unbearable. Laughing, shouting at 1am. A lot of volleyball, soccer. When it is excessive, some residents will go into violent verbal argument with the noise-makers. The overall Chaos makes it worse. I think some rules/hours will really help. No one should be hanging out there in groups after 10pm, no? I don't think that is unreasonable. Even public beach has hours.
