★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Evergreen Natural Foods carries similar products to The Kootenay Coop. They have slightly less variety, and overall their prices are roughly equal. I would definitely recommend this store, especially for people living West of Nelson. It is only about 5 minutes from where I live and I'm happy to have this healthy option close by.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very friendly staff. Some items are insanely expensive (I saw an item that was 25% more expensive than the same item in Safeway and Safeway is known to also be expensive). BUT there are things you can get here that you can't find anywhere else and sometimes they have really great deals.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place for local organic produce, and groceries. They have an excellent little deli and coffee bar upstairs. Lots of diverse foods available, organic dairy and frozen goods. They have lots things available in bulk, flour, grains, seeds, apples, ECT... Good treat selection. Helpful and friendly staff!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Evergreen Natural Food Store is a great store. Lots of good stuff like there organic vegetables, ladys stuff like lipstick, cologne,etc. At reasonable prices, they have a coffee shop and cookies upstairs with beautiful servers. The washroom is clean and smells good, the staff are friendly
