EVENTMRKT

My (now) husband and I stumbled upon EVENTMRKT by complete accident! And we are beyond grateful that we did. One evening, we were in the area, and went to pick up dinner from "Ghost Taco". When we got there, we noticed the space had some left over decor from a previous event that had taken place there (tables, chairs, etc). We asked the man behind the bar who was taking our order about the space, and he let us know that Ghost Taco is just a pop-up restaurant, but the space itself is used for things like micro weddings, showers and other private events. We were so intrigued - being a newly engaged couple in the midst of a global pandemic, the space was absolutely perfect for what we were looking for. We went home that night and did some research - we came across the EVENTMRKT instagram page which showed lots of beautiful weddings and events that were held at the space. We immediately fell in love. Fast forward to the following week where we met with Sam, the owner/coordinator for events - she allowed us to envision our dream wedding with her and her team. She described the different types of packages they have, and all the vendors that they had to offer. We couldn't believe it - our package came with a florist, wedding planner, DJ, officiant and TOP NOTCH chef. It was a no brainer for us - we gave a deposit that very same day. Each meeting leading up to our wedding was effortless. We had absolutely zero stress coordinating with Sam and her team. To be honest, we left most things in their good hands - even down to minor decor details - that's how much trust we had in everyone involved. The day of our wedding was perfect. The staff involved leading up to and on the day of were amazing. I can honestly say there was not one hiccup during our wedding (and if there was, the staff took care of it, because we had no idea!). Special shout outs to Claudia - the event planner, who absolutely deserves her own review, because she was amazing. She took all the stress of planning the wedding and made it HER problem, so that I didn't have to worry. She learned the names of family members and our wedding party quickly, which made everything very personable. She put my mind at ease when I needed it (more times than I would like to admit) by constantly letting me know that she had everything under control. Her e-mail correspondence was great. Another special shout out to the chef Michael - who blew our guests away with his incredible food. My husband and I had our food tasting a few months before our big day and between the two of us, we devoured every single food item that was brought out. We couldn't believe it - it is definitely not your typical wedding/catered food. We have guests STILL talking about the meal they had at our wedding (8 months later!). We would go back to EVENTMRKT just to eat if we could! Overall, we would give the EVENTMRKT, staff and total experience above a 5/5 if possible. We couldn't be happier with our entire wedding process (leading up to and day of). We would highly recommend to anyone looking for a smaller event space that is not your average banquet hall type of wedding! For reference: - we had just over 60 guests and it was very comfortable - but the space itself I believe can hold up to 90? - our wedding was in October of 2021 where the leaves were just beginning to change colour which was perfect for photos around Fairy Lake - the only outside vendor we needed to find was a photographer (Goldenhour Photography - highly recommend as well) and hair/makeup services

Just went here for the first time. Our friends Steve and Annabelle threw their engagement party at this venue. All the food was delicious and prepared perfectly. The staff were great and provided perfect service. The venue was very clean and beautiful. I highly recommend this place. I'd definitely use them at any future events.

Truly a unique experience with stunning views of Downtown Newmarket, amazing food and the staff is awesome! One of the best places to host your event. Thank you Kaitlyn and Samantha.

This is THE BEST wedding venue in the GTA by far! Amazing eats, diligent crew and an unbelievably fun vibe all around. Have been to a few events here and can say without a doubt I will recommend this venue and team to all of my friends and clients; can't wait for the next party here! A big thank you especially to Sam, Kaitlyn and Claudia who always make things so seamless <3

Had an AMAZING night celebrating a wedding last night. The entire team is so amazing. The food was out of this world. The bar staff worked so hard all night, and were so quick & friendly with everyone. The owner is constantly making sure everything is going right & running smoothly. All of the staff were so kind & professional. It was a beautiful wedding & it was all because of them. Would absolutely recommend having a wedding (or any event) here! Very romantic & intimate.

We just got married at Eventmrkt and couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. We stumbled upon this beautiful venue when we were struggling with the pandemic restrictions and looking for an all inclusive type of venue. We knew at our first meeting that we had found a hidden gem with the most incredible team of vendors. We want to thank Sam, Kaitlyn, Chef Michael, all the Eventmrkt staff, Claudia (wedding coordinator), DJ Dash, Sweet Stems Florals and Rev. Anneille Little for making our wedding truly unforgettable! The venue is surrounded by a beautiful waterfall, fairy lake and lots of greenery. The food by Chef Michael blew us and all of our guests away. The staff worked hard to ensure every guest was well taken care of throughout the night. I could go on forever about all things Eventmrkt but i'll leave it at this. I highly recommend Eventmrkt and will certainly be booking events with them in the future! Thank you a million times over!

Flawless food and service! I attended “Babes who brunch” and was impressed by the interior. It was spacious and beautifully decorated. I definitely would recommend booking your event here!

I recently had my Bridal Shower at EVENTMRKT. I cannot begin to put into words how incredible my experience was. From our first meeting with Sam at our site visit, we immediately felt like family. Sam was informative, fair and personable. To Sam, to Kaitlyn, Chef Michael and the whole staff...WOW. You are all hard working and professional. My guests have not stopped raving about the food, experience and staff! My bridal shower was one of the best nights of my life...thanks to all of you. Until the next event! Cheers <3
